It's a pity MON has taken this stance, he's a manager I used to have some respect for as well, always a pretty honest guy and respectful of opponents. This is shocking though. He also needs his eyes severly tested if he reckons that isnt a sending off offence! I don't think Ferguson is going anywhere soon, I think he has many more years left in him anyway.

MON supporting Hartson is obviously a ploy to imitate fergie, that prick never admits when his players are wrong.

Disaster for Cameroon!
So it's OK with Sepp for women to wear tight shorts but not for the Indomitable Lions to wear their new all in one threads?

Tranmere v Swansea Telford/Millwall v Burnley Sunderland v Birmingham Sheff Utd v Coventry/Colchester Arsenal v Chelsea - tie of the round Liverpool v Portsmouth Everton/Fulham v West Ham - Ties to be played weekend of 14/15 February Think teams like Tranmere, Swansea, Burnley, Colchester and Telford would be disappointed with the draw. They would have liked to get a Premier league team. Big pay day and all that. In other news - The Football League are trying to make the lower divisions more attractive by sticking some pretty lights and sparkly stars over it --> League Faces Restructure The Football League faces a major restructuring in a bid to make it more attractive and competitive. Since the Premiership was formed in 1992, the gap in financial terms between clubs in and outside the top flight has widened to a great degree. The move could mean the name of the First Division is abolished 116 years after it was formed by 12 clubs. - The current Division One would be renamed the 'Football League Championship' in an attempt to boost its' popularity and exposure. "This is all about refreshing and strengthening people's perceptions of the Football League rather than trying to pretend it is something it isn't," said Richard Masters, the League's commercial director. "We want greater control over our own destiny, a greater distinction of what the League stands for and greater recruitment and retention of supporters." "Football league championship" Yeah that'll bring more people in... |
Cool..........
Instead of being relegated from just Division 2. We can be relegated from Football League Championship Division 2. Capacity crowds await. |

"While Jimmy Nicholl is publicly saying that he didn't expect to get the NI manager's job, privately he is gutted, as he was desperate to do the job, and the NIFA really wanted to give it to him. He wasn't looking for a higher salary than he is currently receiving - the honour was enough reward. As expected, it all came down to the economics of football. Dunfermline are in severe financial trouble, and needed a six-figure sum in compensation to let him out of his contract early. NIFA weren't prepared to pay out, so they offered job to cheaper candidate, who wasn't under any contract, with the result that NI don't have the manager they wanted, and Dunfermline are stuck with paying salary of assistant manager they probably can't afford. " I can't believe that the Northern Irish FA are that skint ? Surely if they can afford to pay some overstuffed suits in a boardroom then they can tip a few quid to Dunfirmline and get the better candidate for the job ? As Tony says - setting their sights high. On a level with Andorra ! |

Originally posted by tony_2003 Riiiiight...and how is re-naming it going to change peoples perception of it exactly?
