Well, to answer your question, there's absolutely nothing good about living in the USA. Even us Americans are fed up with living in this country. In fact, we've made the decision to let the Native Americans have their land back an move to France- all 300 million of us that is, including illeagals.

i find a lot of people here feel the same... They are bored not boring...

People lead very lonely lives here and the tv seems to fuel the isolation - there's no sense of community and everybodys scared od everybody else!

Well, they did help us win our independence 200 years ago. We figure they won't mind us crashing in on them, though, it could get a mite crowded. But hey, the French are used to being occupied anyway, and we're all buddies here right?

- I own a house twice the size of what we had in the UK in grounds 4 times the size for half the cost. (Of course this does mean I have to use a lawn tractor but small sacrifices eh)
- I have 250+ days of sunshine per year.
- I live get to explore the USA....if only I had several lifetimes to see it all.
- I get to experience life in another vastly different culture to our own.
- I've met a lot of people I wouldnt have met if Id stayed in the UK.
- I've got more money and less stress now. (granted the stress was high at the start but now we know how to work the systems here instead of fighting them its a whooole lot easier)
- Our daughter gets to do a lot of things she'd never do in the UK.

All the stuff above applies to us in LA plus:

Its nice having a swimming pool
It has been great having the family to stay and showing them great places that they could never of afforded to see
We can drive to the Grand Canyon, Vegas, San Francisco and San Diego and we have done all this in 2005
I actually like the positive attitude of the people even though it may take some getting used to
Telly is shit so I don’t watch telly anymore
My kids have met and made friends with children from many races
The schools are better IMHO and kids have a bit more respect
I live 40 mins from a nice beach, Hollywood, Disneyland and beautiful mountains
Loads of porn shops nearby
Shopping is great (bit gay I know but I have a trainer fetish)
The English people we have met have been great and the pub ain't bad ( great karaoke eh Bored Silly ?)
Mexican food
Generally the place is family orientated restaurants etc
Feel very safe - never lock doors, no crime where we live (I know this is purely a location thing but we lived in nice bit of the UK and constantly dealt with little shits robbing stuff and vandalising)

Very happy here

Very happy here and we don’t want to go home
I'm so pleased you are a happy bunny and I would be too as I'm sure it's just this part of the country that's naff. Love The Grand Canyon, we are booked into El Tovar on the Sth Rim over New Year, it's a neat place. Yeah I enjoy the pool but not met any Brits and that's my problem, not many Brits come here to Houston, well you wouldn't would you??? Merry Crimbo

the Grand Canyon is one the most spectacular things I have ever seen as for meeting Brits we live in the bit of LA with no Brits it seems so we have to travel a bit (40min drives) to go out which can be painful as the wife has no-one she can "drop in" on. But the pub is only 5 mins away
