Hope this info helps others.

Great news! Pleased to hear that you have received the email and I hope it works out with getting to the wedding.
40 weeks here, not that we're counting anymore! 😉

Hi guys. Update for you. I sent my passport to the U.S. Embassy and they received it on Tuesday this week. Got my email today to say it's being despatched to the courier depot. So 4 working days. Much faster than I anticipated!

Blimey that is quick for them. Are you having it delivered to you or your nearest drop off location? Just wondered what courier options you chose.

Hope you have a great holiday!

A 3 month visa is possible as that is what they gave me

that's interesting as I had never heard of that before, its hard to not make plans before your visa then only be given a 3 month one limiting your window of opportunity to travel.

I think in Australia there is only 1 or 5 year for B1/2 non immigrant visa

The length of validity isn't determined by where you live. The visa will be valid for as long or as short as the US Department of State sees fit to grant. There are some periods of validity that are more common than others - 1 year, 2 years, or 5 years... but visa validity can be anything up to 5 years.

So are you only charged the issuance fee for a five year visa? As my other 2 were for 1 year with no fee but this time I had to send $32.50 with my passport?

We did have to pay something for his 2 years, I cant remember what it was but similar to this price. We were hoping for a 5 year but got 2 so was still happy with that. We still haven't heard anything since resubmitting his paperwork again. I hope they process soon.

Does every case in London get given the approximate waiting time of 6 month? Was wondering if anyone who had they interview January or February in London had heard back yet?

Well - I originally chose Gatwick for collection from the DX Courier depot. It was convenient because even though I'm about 1.5hrs from there, my Wife worked in Gatwick at the time. However now she works in Zurich so I think I'm gonna have to go and get it...

It's there now after being sent Friday. I'm really keen to find out how long they've given me, as we no longer have anything booked but are going to Dubai in October instead. Would of gone to the States if I'd of known but hey-ho!

Based on the timelines recently on here, then it seems as though 7-8 months is the norm at the moment, so I just hope you can change your holiday without to much hassle and cost as September seems a bit of a stretch.

Not surethey actually distinguish or prioritize between various nations but rather I wouldassume they have one global timeline for all applicants. Does anyone know this for sure, if sowhat's the process? Seems they're currently experiencing excessive delays, hadmy interview last week of January and still no verdict.

With respect... no, you're likely not. It is routinely taking 30 weeks or more to process waivers - and there is absolutely nothing whatsoever you can do to speed that up, or to find out where you are in the process, or to find out how much longer it's going to take. The only thing you can do, is wait.

... the bloke who he saw ... said to him don't worry you will get it back before you go...
The guy lied about any implied timeline - either deliberately or because he didn't know any better! He did say one hidden truth though - your husband will definitely get the visa before he goes anywhere... except he'll likely not get it in time for this holiday.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Hi everyone. Final update from me as I HAVE my Visa - which looks very posh in my passport!

My timeline:
Interview date in London December 19th 2014
Email asking to send off passport to US Embassy 6th August 2015
Passport received by Embassy 10th August 2015
Passport sent to courier depot for collection 17th August 2015
Collected today as it's miles away from me and only open during work hours!

I got granted a 1 year Visa. Under entries it says "M" which I assume means multiple, can somebody confirm?

Also I have the opportunity to go to the States next September which is the month after my Visa runs out. Can someone explain how I can apply again for a Visa beginning in September 2016, is it just a case of going through the process again? Will I need another interview? Will I need to resupply the same documentation I did before including the Police certificate? Will I need to get another one of these produced to show there are no other offences? Is the process any more simple next time because I have been given a Visa before?

Appreciate your help as always and best of luck to anyone still waiting.

Now onto planning a big US trip!

You will have to go through everything again, and it will take as long as this time probably! This is my husband's 4th time of applying for a visa since 2006. He has had no more offences since he first applied in 2006. One of his offences was underage drinking - he is now 57 :/ this still shows on his record and counts as a crime of moral turpitude!
Previous 3 occasions his visa came back within 3 months, hence we thought we would be okay to book travel but obviously that didnt work out. Glad you have yours, I would apply again now!

Hi Everyone,
Just picked up my passport from courier depot tonight visa issued for 5 years as I assumed as I paid the issuance fee when sending in my passport to consulate.
My timeline
Interview 5th February 2015
Email received 12th August and sent passport to consulate via express post same day
Passport with 5 year visa now in my hands, just in the nick of time flying out 23 August
What a stressful and irritating 27 weeks and 5 days, which thankfully will not have to go thru until 2020. wishing everyone else the best of luck. will keep updated if I have to go through any further checks once landing in Hawaii
