No. The timeline is dependent on the type of the waiver request, not the class of visa. Different types of waivers will have different requirements and processes, which may take more or less time than others.

And since the very limited data we have with different visa types shows little variation between them, they're probably all falling within the current ARO range.

If you require different visa types - an example in the sheet being "C1/D & B1/B2" - then each of those requires a separate waiver.

No, nothing yet. I see a few L and H visas were approved in about 280 days, so I don't think the type of visa matters much.

There have been some B visa types with 320 days in the past. My B visa waiver was approved in 10 days in early 2022. It seems like each case is different, and each file is different. It depends on the case and the officer reviewing it. Some work faster than others. Also, generally, these waivers have somewhat slowed down due to the Trump election. So nothing that i can do but wait.

Is there a different type of waiver? I had a petty offence, a very minor one, 22 years ago when I was 19.
I'm not sure why it should take ARO any longer than others to review my waiver, especially when they have already approved it about 2 and a half years ago for my B visa.

Yes - the type of waiver is based on the section of law in the INA which deals with the reason for inadmissibility that needs to be overcome. So I have a 212(d) waiver for a CIMT. Someone who has previously overstayed or been deported will get a different category of waiver, which will have different requirements and processes to someone with a CIMT, and so on for each section of the INA.

You're not taking any longer than others at the moment - abrowski and anon frankfurt following you are both well over 300 days also, and the next batch are close already.

maybe we should be tracking via type of waiver required than visa type…? Just a thought. Hoping to hear by end of March for a planned holiday, beginning of May! Reckon this is realistic?

I don't think we should be asking people to provide the reason they require a waiver, which is what adding such a requirement would do.

fair enough - like playing the lottery my last 2 (B1/B2) visa took less than 100 days.
