It's a Jack Daniels or wine deficiency. ;)

Ah I see. That's understandable.

BrisVegas ROCKS!

Went to the city centre and we really like it. It's lovely and clean. I love the cafe culture. Fabulous. I can picture myself working there without hating it, unlike London.

Well, as of next week I'll be an unemployed bum once more, the teacher I've been covering for is returning to work. I'll not deny that I'm quite relieved as it's been a really tough, unnatural role being the schools music teacher but it's also quite unnerving wondering when I'll next get a wage! In saying that I've met some lovely people at the school and have made some lifelong friends into the bargain! Here's hoping next term brings as much luck as I've had thus far!!! :fingerscrossed:

Like me Jen, you had a headstart:D

Well, had a years contract and they have said that I'll be retained next year. That said, they cannot tell me either year or subjects I'll teach so that's a bit frustrating.

Hope you get a good contract soon Jen:fingerscrossed:

Well, here I am, the last day of work for AT LEAST two weeks, I'm glad cos I'm exhausted, but also slightly scared because I don't know when I'll next be in work. The really REALLY rough school phoned me yesterday to offer me a contract for next term, I turned it down because I was very unhappy there.

Anyhoo, if you're ever up this direction and you're looking for somewhere decent to go for a lovely walk, to see some fantastic wildlife, try Crows Nest National Park, but beware, WEAR YOUR INSECT REPELLENT!!! I got bitten 8 times on one arm, 2 on the other, once inside my hair on my scalp, and on the back of my neck! The bites have swollen up, blistered, popped and wept as usual, but this time, because I'd 8 on one arm, it was excruciating! I've felt like I've had a dead arm for a few days! Despite that, it was really worth going to the park as we got to see a Rock Wallaby and it's Joey (?) up really close! Please see my ten second video, and enjoy!

(PS Some 'term 4 new job karma' would go down nicely right now! )

To clarify about the rough school, yes it was so rough that it made the papers last year, massive bullying issues etc, so I'll pass. On a brighter note I got a three week booking from a brilliant school just round the corner from my house, for November! Now just to fill up October and I'll be happy, YAY, things are looking up!!!

Excellent! Glad it all went well.

Yep kids (teens) got a pooch now and they're loving it to bits. We're all still in holiday mode, but reality will set in quickly.

Must make a plan to meet up some time somewhere.
