The irony is YOU can't see it. Take a long deep breath and think about your professional career in America. Do you truly believe everyone is thanking the Gods above you are part of the team? How many closed door meetings are you not a part of???? Just wondering....when Americans close doors it's time to worry

Well it does at least partly redeem the premature ejaculation, surely?
Seriously, though, this is unfair on us UK Yankee types. Knowing what I now know, I wish I'd stayed up till four in the morning instead of foolishly going to bed at ten pm.
Which brings me to another point. Do actual Americans ever actually say "stateside?" I'd always thought that was something proud new immigrants said ..

I think the term 'stateside' began to die off after WW2, though fairly common until the 1960's.
I believe it could slip into a conversation if I were overseas talking to an American.
