Yup In fact, I've always thought that root beer tasted a bit like D&B.

Incidentally, the reason it exists is that, back in the day, we used to brew beer out of any old crap, including weeds. Eventually, hops and barley became the standard and brewers were left with all this other crap that nobody wanted turning into beer. Thus the soft drink was invented.
