Has the last episode of S3 Game of Thrones now been shown in the US? Thought I would catch the last episode here (we move on 8th June), but due to the Bank Holiday in UK, Sky missed a week, so episode 9 is on tonight! All my planning down the drain. Have read the book so know what happens, but wanted to see how it was handled on screen.

When I got to what is now referred to as "The Red Wedding", I threw the book across the room and refused to pick it up for another couple of weeks, I was that cross with GRR Martin.

Not seen it yet, so that was awesome.
Anyway, The Killing, back for a double episode. Anyone catch it? I was kind of losing interest by the end of the last series, so not sure if I can be bothered going back to it.

GoT officially destroyed any remaining sentimentality in its watching audience last night.
Sidenote: I just realized that I read the
scene almost 13 years ago.
People who haven't read the books and yet constantly follow GoT threads/posts/sites online don't really have a leg to stand on when it comes to be annoyed with "spoilers". Surely there's statute of limitation on spoilers. If you like the show, read the books. You'll like them.
Also: Rosebud is a sled. Darth Vader is Luke's father. Bruce Willis is dead.

I'm sorry Bob and anyone else is spoiled, I was spoiled for the big Season 1 twist fairly early on as I hadn't read the books, and it does ruin the tension if you know what's coming.

This is just a general tele thread, not specially about the one show, so yes, I'd expect a spoiler tag.
It's just as if someone gave away a movie outcome in the movie thread, even though the movie came out that Friday :/

We've got the series of books, got them for a couple bucks when a local book shop closed down when the show first started. I just couldn't get into the righting style, but then I'm not really that keen on reading fantasy type books.
The missus gave up on the books too and figured she'd go back to them after watching the show to compare.

I appreciate it when people use the spoiler tags...because I quite often wait until a series ends before I watch it. Almost everyone now has DVRs...so many watch a program after it's aired.

I always delay watching as I cannot (will not) put up with the commercials, so everything is on the DVR until the following day.

I must admit - I love spoilers. My friend read the book and I made her tell me the ending.
She is soooo involved in this program. She was so upset by the ending of the 3rd book that she refused to pick up the 4th until she got over it.
I kind of envy her as I don't think I have even been that interested in a tv show since Dallas (who shot JR?).

My point is that if a story has been out for public consumption for almost 13 years, it's a bit ridiculous for people to feel hyper-sensitive about plot "spoilers". At the very least, if you haven't read the books and don't want to know what happens, stay the hell away from GoT-specific threads and sites. Again, not directed at this site at all, I'm just frustrated with some other sites out there. The Onion has gone to doing entirely separate reviews and discussions targetted at readers and non-readers. That's nuts.
