I reckon it's one of those shows you'll either love or hate. It reminds me of the 80's and the underlying fear the ICBMs would start flying.

"Borgia" back on Monday (neither US nor UK, so no right thread to put this)

"The Borgias" back on April 14

Gave up on that a while ago as it was tripe. Thought it had potential, but it was just to annoying to continue with it.

Anyone catch The Bates Motel?

Not yet. Distracted by the 30-odd episodes of Criminal Minds sat on our DVR. :)

We have a season recording set for it though... Hoping it will be (a) decent and (b) not cancelled during season one.

How can you not have watched them already? CM is my favourite US TV series.

It COMPLETELY went by us. never heard of it until recently, so we have been watching little else for the last few weeks.

It is our favorite show currently. :)

It was pretty meh...but I'll give it a few more episodes to warm up. Doesn't seem to go for the scary horror vibe.

Anyway, so it's the mother and a teenage Norman, who's still in school. It's them as they just moved into town and bought the motel, which is run down and a bit of a dump.

Kicks off with a bit of a drama and tries to play some tension off of it, but fails.

I feared as much.

Orphan Black

Seems to be getting mixed reviews, but it's another BBCA creation and I rather liked Ripper Street, so have hope that this might be okay.

Quite enjoying it so far myself. Can't imagine how they will keep it going for more than a season. But the woman playing Norma is great. And the look of the programme is spot on -- very much in the spirit of the Psycho film sequels.

Labyrinth

2 parter about the holy grail. Sounds pretty decent, shown last year in a couple of countries, being shown in a few others this weekend.

Quite liked this.

Basically it's about this chick who has a bit of a past, comes home and witnesses someone that looks just like her just in front of a train. She then takes on her identity, without realising what that person was involved in, which happens to be something pretty dark.

Spoiler:

The whole cloned thing is a little creepy, but kind of fun

As someone that's only been in the States for 3 weeks, I'm still finding US TV abysmal. Haven't managed to let go of UK TV just yet. Thank god for FilmOn!!
