Audience Network, or some Canadian channel.

Spartacus.

OK you Spartacus naysayers. Was that not the single most awesomeness ever seen in a single episode?

I dreaded what they could do in a last episode when we all knew the generalities, but they gave us everything.

How can you not have watched them already? CM is my favourite US TV series.

That show is a complete downer, I'm not saying it isn't well done, but why put such depressing stuff on the air. In fact, that it is well done makes it worse, a horrible absence of joy or happiness with no redeeming feature.

Absolutely!!! It was AMAZING and I want to retract my moaning about the earlier episodes. I'm really sad it's over though - there really has been no other show like it. And the writer said he would never do any spin offs - mostly due to the fact that the writing style took 10 times longer than a normal script.

Finally watched Hannibal. I must say I liked it. If fills the blood and gore void (due to Spartacus & Walking Dead being off the air). BUT that bloody main character - annoying. So I'm telling my friend that I like the show and not the main character. She informs me that he is the husband of the uber-annoying chick from Homeland! Makes sense.

Yes it picked up at the end. I hate the writing style though.

The dialogue was shit, but I didn't realise anyone saw it for that. It was just a grot fest of gore and that was great :D

The dialogue was crap - I needed cc most of the time to understand what the bloody hell they were saying.

Okay, Da'Vinci's Demons. OMG! And not in a good way. This could be a kid show but with sex and f-words thrown in for good measure. It's like a bad Harry Potter porn movie (not that there would be a good one - but you catch my drift...).

Any thoughts on Vikings? I have about 6 episodes recorded - should I waste my time?

Slow first episode but possibly one of the best new shows out this year.

Defiance.

Anyone catch that? It's a new sci-fi drama, which I think is about aliens invading the planet and then following life 30 odd years later, the next generation of humans who escaped.

Looked very cheesy and no idea how it'll turn out, but I'm giving it a punt.

Well that was truly dire.

Terrible cast, terrible script, terrible storyline.

Pretty bad over all I'd say.

Thanks. You just reminded me that I've got half-a-pound of Stilton in the pantry. Cheers
