Wow....that got canned already? That was quick.

I'm surprised The Americans is holding out, that's really dull. I'm still watching it mind, but it is a drudge.

I only managed 1 and a bit episodes of The Americans. It is beyond boring...the main actors/characters are appalling IMO.

So much rubbish got the green light so far this year...

Monday Morning, Banshee, Cracked, Motive, they have been the favs of the new batch, good chunk of Canadian stuff there.

Southland, that's back and not been to bad. Seems a bit less intense and pompous than the previous series had ended up heading.

Just how bad is 'zero hour'? Almost, so bad it is good.

Yup, after the second episode of even more cheese....but at least it's partially amusing.

I've not given up hope on it yet, unlike with the Americans, that was dire.

Never even started watching Zero Hour - had a feeling it would be cancelled and I believe it has been.

You are all correct about the Americans - what a horrible show. NONE of the characters are interesting.

Saw the trailer for Hannibal - really looking forward to that - the guy playing Hannibal looks great - very creepy. Hope they don't mess that up!

Is anything else coming up of interest?

Zero Hour, as bad as it was, cancelling a mid season replacement after 3 episodes is ridiculous, no wonder I never watch live TV.

I don't mind The Americans.

Blimey O'Reilly, thought the pilot was a bit clunky but was willing to give it a go, mainly because it had Anthony Edwards and Scott Michael Foster. But three episodes?

It's a symptom of the instant gratification that seems to be endemic - no chance of giving something a chance and letting it bed in. I'm still sulking about Firefly, not that zero hour is in the same league at all, but for heaven's sake!

And were not Firefly's episodes , the few broadcast, out of order? How can they let executives change broadcast dates, just because an episode is more exciting, how exciting can it be if it makes no sense.

Yes, they didn't like the (brilliant) pilot so they made them make another episode as the first one, with more bangs and whistles etc, and showed the pilot at random later on.

The problem with Firefly is that it didn't fit into any neat stereotypical slot as it had everything - sci fi/space, Western/Civil War, comedy, drama. TV executives just don't know what to do with Joss Whedon's stuff, I think he gets more freedom in movies and web based stuff.

Golden Boy, I think I mentioned it earlier. Finally saw the pilot/first episode.

It's pretty meh. Not really horrible, but not great either. Just another cop show. Chap is about to start up in the feds in the top spot and looking back on his career as the "golden boy", with record time of getting into homicide from a beat cop after a "heroic" shoot out.

Nothing really special about it though as a cop show. Can't see it lasting, which means it will do...

I quite liked it, golden boy being a bit of an unlikeable anti hero who bends the rules to get the results he wants. The flash forward bits were poor writing I think, but it has potential.

It's just ridiculous how quick they can things. It's a crazy Catch 22 now, nobody watches new series' because they think they will just get canned, and the show gets canned because nobody is watching it...

Anyone catch "Vikings" It's a new drama on the history channel.

It all sounds very Bernard Cornwall esk, but who knows. Filmed in Ireland and a few other spots, following a bunch of vikings.

Sounded like it could be a little cheesy, but could be fun too.
