Red Dwarf coming back

It's also a tongue-in-cheek joke as the ship "Red Dwarf" in the show is a 10km long mining and transportation freighter, which happens to be painted red.

A couple specials are in production now with the original cast of Red Dwarf, to be aired sometime around Easter. Tentatively titled: Red Dwarf-Return to Earth.
My main computer / server is called 'Smeghead' in honor of the show and many other have Red Dwarf character names. I'm pretty excited to see what happened after they left us hanging about ten years ago.

just saw the whole 3 parter...the third part wasn't that bad but it took till then to warm up...

The Blade Runner references were the only thing that saved it. The rest was filler.

I just watched all 3 and never laughed once. I must've grown out of that kind of humour. Such a shame but at least I never got my hopes up.

A Red Dwarf is a kind of star (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_dwarf)... It's nowt to do with short people.

Based on everyones comments, I think I'm going to file these three episodes along with Blackadder: Back & Forth and just pretend they don't exist.

Indeed. A couple of chuckles but mostly the sort of stuff you'd expect to see on a Comic Relief night - some stuff by the right actors committed to celluloid in order to support a cause - rather than a commercial product in its own right. Fine for 10 minutes on CR night but not for a 70 minutes.
