And IMHO one of the most incredible planes, that foreshadowed the B2, in shape, at least. I saw one at several airshows, and the sound alone would surely have been enough to put the wind up the Argies. I will never forget the sensation of my entire body resonating as the Vulcan turned away and the pilot opened up the engines. :blink:

And she won't be airworthy for much longer, with all the cracks on her wings. I believe they've already announced 2015 will be her last hurrah.

Interesting development, with regards to the recent Hi-jacking of the Ethiopian 767, by its own Co-Pilot;

Apparently they do......but only between 9am & 5pm, with an hour off for lunch.

Why? .... They can certainly afford an air force, with all the money they save by not having a navy! :rofl:

Seriously though, the Swiss military airbases are on valley floors, with "hangars" tunneled into the bottom of mountains. It would be a challenge to destroy their aircraft on the ground, though these days, with laser guided bombs, you should at least be able to trap the aircraft in their cave-hangars.

Who needs to destroy the planes? Crater the runway and you render them useless anyway...

Oh, and I'm sure a tactical nuke would do the job ;)

A fair point, but you can fix a runway with a bulldozer, rock, concrete/ asphalt, and perhaps a road roller. A damaged plane requires a little more time, expertise, and money to repair or replace. :nod:

Oh I agree - gives you time to parachute in the spec ops team to 'neutralize' them though :lol:

I thought the Swiss were already as neutralized as neutralized could be. :rolleyes:
