Interesting. However i'm 101% convinced that site was setup by Furby's to hide the fact they are all, in fact demonically possessed.
https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...200582102e.jpg Actually the elf is a peeve of mine. I hate it. It's ugly. The premise is creepy AF. And it's a BS money maker not a "cute" tradition, the book, the dvd, the doll, the clothes for the doll. Don't like the doll? Try the St Bernard on the shelf or Reindeer on the shelf instead. Jewish and not celebrating Christmas? Try the Mensch on the Bench. It's stupid. If you want to put the fear of Father Christmas into your kid you don't need $140 worth of cheap nasty looking tat from China to do it. Last year one of my friends gave Small Chog an Elf on the Shelf kit for Christmas. First of all that's probably the single most pointless Christmas present for a nearly 3 year old ever - here have this ugly toy you can't play with until next year or even touch next year when it will have to come out (got to follow the elf rules!!). Second I can't even be bothered to do an advent calendar - I most certainly am not doing Pinterest level of bollock arsing about each night for this elf nonsense. |

I have an intense dislike over how it's as prolific as Wikipedia on Google searches, but wont let you actually view an image properly without logging in. It's super annoying, Not even Instagram is that needy. |

Re: Pet Peeves?
My local Walmart is that piss poorly organizized, some items that should exist are no where to be found. That means that I end up being forced to the Harris Teeter nextdoor.
In this store daylight robbery ensues where I pay $30 for some simple fresh produce. I need to find some better places. |

Re: Pet Peeves?
One evening last week, at about 5.30pm I took one of the dogs to the side yard, and there was just one heck of a thump on the front door, but I didn't see it because of the high gate. I thought it was someone trying to bust the door in, aka home invasion, by shoulder barging. I was shaking in my shoes as there is only me and the dogs home during the week. I talked to my neighbor a couple of days later, and she said it was a local church group that came round. I called the church to complain about their methods, but just a mealy mouthed apology from a church secretary. No apology from the person, assume it was an adult male, by the force and sound of the thump. Still not quite settled down after that, but this is usually a quiet, fairly crime free neighborhood.

And on that note - Target. I love a good Target but they 100% do this. You walk in - Starbucks. Then $5 stocking fillers and tempting deals throughout the store from clothes to bathroom stuff to misc crap around the house. Also tech. TL;DR - Went in for something specific, came out with everything but & a coffee. FML. |

I kinda feel that is done on purpose to force you to walk around and buy stuff you had no intention of getting in the first place.

You just need a dogged determination to get in and out of there as quickly as humanly possible.

I try but it's easy to drift and wander. TKMaxx is a similar deal, Home goods is dangerous.
Until my wife texts me as I'm getting in my car with the perennial 'Oh, could you also get xyz as well while you're there ... ?'

I have never once thought, on the rare occasions that I do drink coffee, that it would be a good idea to crack an egg in there
