So you're personally affronted by someone driving on another bit of the road that you aren't driving on.

yes it gets kind of personal when I'm going up a long steep hill towing a trailer and some dude suddenly appears from nowhere to my right and cuts me off as he exits the lane that should only be used by large slow moving trucks because some distance ahead there is a large slow moving truck and he doesn't want to get caught behind it,

We all want to get somewhere in a reasonable amount of time but we don't have to act like assholes to get there.

So you're driving slowly and are affronted by someone passing you. .... Maybe you could get shot of the trailer and buy something faster?

Oh? You don't want to? OK, that's fine, but maybe you should get used to the idea that not everyone wants to tow a trailer, and those people not towing trailers might be going faster than you

And BTW, I'm gonna guess that despite you complaining about people "cutting you off", that you haven't actually been hit or otherwise involved in an accident. It isn't hard to understand that it is physically impossible to collide with someone in front of you who is going faster than you.

I have slotted through gaps in my Mustang, which I am fairly certain you would describe as "cutting someone off", but when there is no traffic ahead, and I can switch lanes with my foot on the gas, I don't give a monkey's if there is only a foot or two gap behind me so long as there is room ahead to accelerate fairly hard (if there isn't, I wouldn't do that), because the car behind simply cannot hit me.

BTW some people might consider those towing trailers slowly up hills to be assholes.

Yeah five years ago I saw a hotshot in a Mustang cut off the driver of a large heavy duty pick up with what seemed like inches to spare. The pick up burned rubber, caught up with the Mustang and clipped it on the drivers side tail end sending it careening across the slow lane and into a field. The pick up kept going full bore. I thought it was quite funny

Road rage, which is illegal, and what happened to the driver and passengers of the Mustang, were they all OK, or were they injured, or didn't you bother about them, just had a laugh, so they could have been seriously injured, and you would still have thought it funny, and what if one of those in there had been a relative or good friend?

Everywhere where I have run into steep grade lanes it is for slow moving traffic not just trucks. So that would be you if you are towing a trailer. Sounds like you were in the wrong lane.

Yeah. Bloody hilarious. Deliberately causing a collision. Well played, fckwit truck driver. Remind us again, which one is the asshole?

Yeah, 60 mpg would definitely be welcomed, even if it did take 2 hours to overtake someone

You should try driving a Lada, 1300 engine, car weighed a ton, no power steering, but hey, it got us to work, and, we even drove it down to the South of France and back, now with that you needed to send a postcard to overtake, and, fully loaded it took it all it's time to get up the hills.

My mate's dad had a Lada, so I've been in one. Never driven one, though.

We had two cars at the time, the Lada, which was my wife's and a other car which DID have power steering, my wife always had trouble steering my car whenever she used it, and before anyone comments on her having the poorer car, we had only one car, and she really wanted on to make it easier for her to get to work, and a chap at work was selling his, asked for the amount that a dealer would have given him in Pex, and so it was a cheap option as it was only 13 months old.

I pulled over to the shoulder. The Mustang after kicking up a ton
of dirt ended up a couple of hundred feet in an alfalfa field. The driver wasn't hurt, just suffering from a bruised ego. He got out and started jumping around the front of the car, thumping the hood with clenched fists, mad as hell. The truck driver obviously wasn't hurt either as he had just kept on going.

This was a case of a dick head in a Mustang needlessly cutting off the driver of a great big 4 x 4 pick up truck and who himself was probably psychotic

Road rage is obviously something to avoid at all costs and under the circumstances I described best left alone if no one was injured and in need of help. This is America, land of the free, home of the brave where drivers sometimes keep a loaded weapon handy and I had no intention of aggravating the situation and placing myself in harms way.

Both of them were although the instigator was the driver of the Mustang

I saw one of mine in action yesterday at Wally World when I popped in on the way home from work.

I saw a parking space next to the trolley depository so I figured I'd nab it, except there was a woman loading her car in the next space who had her trolley in the empty space. No worries, I'll go into the next aisle and park in the space opposite said empty space. I pulled into the space just in time to see the lazy bitch get into her car and leave the trolley there in the empty space not ten ****ing feet away from the bloody trolley rack. She couldn't even walk her fat arse that small distance to put the thing away. I wish my windows had been down, so she could have heard what I called her.

Then to add insult to injury, they only had 2 checkouts open in the entire bloody store at 5pm on a weekday.

This reminds of what it was like living in the UK. Distant memories.
