Re: Pet Peeves?
KLM. Trying to establish a) if I could take a large box as checked baggage, and b) if so, how much it would cost. I knew the exact dimensions and weight.
Including the check-in staff at the airport (who wasn't actually KLM), I spoke to 5 different people: No 1: Yes. You can use your airmiles for the first leg, but must pay for the second leg. I can't tell you how much for the second leg, but I'll transfer you to Transavia (our budget subsidiary) who can tell you. No 2: Yes you can take it, no you can't use airmiles on the first leg, it'll cost €185. You'll need to make a request. No 3. No you can't take it, the aircraft on the 2nd leg is too small [it's a frigging 737!] No 4. Yes. It'll cost €215. I can't email you a confirmation, but I'll make a note on your booking. No need to make a request, just roll up to the airport with it. No 5. [At the airport]. €55 please. At least it ended well... FWIW, Transavia are good, KLM are shite. |
Re: Pet Peeves?
Why can't I find decent washing-up liquid? Everything I've tried here is absolute shite compared to Fairy Liquid back home.
Anyone got any recommendations for something that keeps it's bubbles? |

Re: Pet Peeves?
I think I'll just have to get my Mum to send me some fairy Liquid.
While I'm on the subject, I used the dishwasher liquid to clean my oven racks in the bath and the results were amazing. A few hours soaking and a bit of a scrub and they came out gleaming. I was so proud! |

I use the Gain washing up liquid, it bubbles up quite nicely but I squirt a pretty generous amount into the sink when I'm filling it.

Re: Pet Peeves?
Put an old towel in the bath so you don't scratch it, and use boiling water to cover them.
