Yeah some of that spreadable stuff is pretty good, there's a brand I think it's Kaukhuna that has a port wine variety and it's great as a late night cheese binge product. A pastime i heartily recommend.

I just had a rental for 3 days, a Chrysler something or other, horrid thing to drive, but wow its selection of cup holders was a delight!
Judging by the amount of drivers in LA with a phone clamped to their ears I assume cup holders comes before bluetooth in the list of optional extras for murican cars

I have seen people drive one handed with regular ceramic mugs, I have no idea how they fit those mugs into cup holders.

BTW my truck has a pull-out, double cup holder in the dash, where the holder rims are not complete rings, so it might be possible to put ceramic mugs in it. It has never occured to me to even try.

In the grand scheme of things, that's a pretty minor violation. I have seen many worse things - not least, a woman eating a bowl of cereal while driving an SUV at 50mph on a non-standard stretch of narrow-lane interstate in the rush hour.

I thought that was normal here. I see people every morning eating oatmeal, shaving, putting on make up, brushing their teeth in their cars. I prefer to do this stuff before I leave the house. One thing that annoys me is that these people drive 25 mph in 45 limits and leave 100 ft between the car in front. Worse than tractor drivers in the UK.
