I don't think murdering people can really count as a peeve unless you murder the definition of the word "peeve".

Finding random nuts, bolts or screws lying around some cabinet or random things in the home and not having a clue what thing might fall apart at some point...

On the other hand, it's quite fun to plop a couple nuts, bolts or screws into a box of DIY products at a hardware store, or IKEA...

Yet another email from a recruitment agent giving full details of the job (save the identity of the employer) but not a hint at the salary, yet demanding that anyone interested gives a full breakdown of his/her salary, and how much he/she wants to do the job with an un-named employer.

****ing arrogant bastards.

Tell them you're on a million a year and you expect two if you take the job. Can't hurt to try, right?

(Add zeros depending on how good/shit the exchange rate in Morocco is, of course)

:rofl: Haha, not actually looking at the moment, but it reminded me of some of the arrogant bastards I encountered when I was last looking, and the effort it was to get into their heads that the details of my salary were confidential to my then-employer, and the lack of balance in the situation if I was compelled to reveal all, with the putative employer revealing nothing. Seldom made any difference, and my usual response has been "substantial and competitive".

Shouldn't get upset about something that doesn't affect me now (and hopefully never will again), but just dredged up some unpleasant memories.

Texans' driving in the rain....I'm almost at the point of refusing to drive when it's raining. I cannot believe how so many people don't slow down and drive up your backside. Accidents everywhere after even a little shower.

Didn't you just stick the info into Google and find out where the job is and apply direct, sticking your fingers up at the useless gits in recruitment?

Sod their 30-60% finders fee.

I've done that before, but some companies would rather work through agents.

Re: Pet Peeves?

Every bloody morning ...

Arseholes who enter an intersection on a green light when turning left, when the path through said intersection is not clear. Then they end up filling the intersection up (often the cars on the end will stack themselves two or three deep as more squeeze through), thus clogging up the traffic on the intersecting road on their green light, holding everybody up.

How hard is it to look ahead up the road you're turning on to see if traffic is moving? Especially on the one I am talking about, where there is another traffic light within sight farther down the road, if it's red, traffic isn't moving, so don't cross the ****ing line until you've got at least one car length of space on the intersecting road to move into.

Utter, utter mingemonkeys.

Absolutely.

Seriously, Blueberry pie? No thanks, I'll have my pie stuffed with a fruit that actually tastes of something, apple, blackberry, peach but not blueberries. The most disappointing berry in my opinion.

The most tasteless fruit known to man. Not much sweetness, just a little acidity. Surely the ideal fruit for people who don't actually like fruit.

I would never buy blueberries, or anything with them in, but I love yogurt and my primary peeve with blueberries is that I can't buy a mixed case of fruit yogurt without one third of the pots containing blueberry yogurt! :(
