Pet Peeves?

It's just ridiculous. We had all but eradicated measles from the US in 2000 but now it's back with a vengeance because of this new crop of know-nothing parents who won't get an MMR for their children.
Kids can and do die from measles, these people are complicit in every single post-2000 death from the disease, IMO.
Mumps is making a comeback as well, I hear. It's maddening.

Oops sorry just saw it wasn't your forehead that was throbbing. As you were.

Fair enough. If not the individuals, then the movement is. If a disease was all but eliminated and the actions of a group of people result in it coming back, then there is a degree of responsibility there.
Same deal as the catholic church and AIDS in Africa. Indirect, but it's there.

I suppose complicit carries a level of imprecision, of vagueness.
Aided? Contributed? Enabled?
I don't know what the current state of the law is when someone infects another with HIV for example. I seem to remember some had been charged with an offense but maybe that's because it was deliberate?

Anti-vaxxers are like drunk drivers, in essence. Their acts of stupidity often result in pain and suffering for others, not connected to them.

All the children and adults who are having chemotherapy, all the children too young to have received their vaccines yet, all the children and adults genuinely allergic to one of the ingredients (usually eggs),...

Yes, but there are also those who are immunodeficient in some way, children who are awaiting a vaccination, et cetera. That's why we have herd immunity, being eroded by abject stupidity.

My kids are vaccinated but any intelligent person should inform themselves of the risks involved.
Personally I don't think it's the same as stopping people using condoms or knowingly infecting others with HIV. A parent is making a decision based on their own child.
The reason I waded in was just that it struck me that you are fond of saying "WGAF" to other hot topics like guns or over-zealous police.

Any medical procedure or programme carries some risk. It may be very small, but it's there.

It is exactly the same as the condoms/AIDS. Someone who thinks they know better is making a decision on behalf of someone else that might one day put that person's life at risk.
Intelligent people vaccinate. End of.

"Servings per container: 2"
Nope. You know there is only one serving per container, you only say there are two so that you can cut the calories per serving amount in half and make it look healthier. Why would anyone put two servings in a single packet? Either make it one or lots.
