Re: Pet Peeves?
Why do American hand basins have those mechanisms inside them that make drainage very inefficient. Kind of defeats the purpose.
Rubber plug and chain anyone? |

Do you spend much time waiting for the water to drain? .... I pop the plug up, then dry my hands, and honestly it makes no difference to me whether it takes 30 seconds or 30 minutes to drain.

Pet Peeve
Those bloody automatic faucets in restrooms. You have to wave your hand in a certain spot for the sensor, and if that isn't annoying enough, the water cuts out too dam quick. And if that wasn't bad enough, the facet spout is too dam close to the basin sides. Being germophobic I do not want my hands to touch the basin. |

Sometimes, especially hotels, if you're running the water for some purpose, it fills up faster than it drains.

"Germophobic" doesn't begin to describe you if an automatic no-touch tap causes you concerns about too much contact with the hardware.

I suspected it was wrong and I welcome a correction. Couldn't be bothered with the old Googling this morning.:o
