Especially when it's slightly runny and seems down a bit...right between both wipers and will likely freeze solid and be horrid to look at for the next week or so until I go top the tank up and wash the thing off.

So the one time you could objectively say that something was a "little bit [of] shit", you missed the opportunity.

Why the hell are soo many areas missing street signs at intersections and crossroads? I am not talking about poor areas where one might assume someone nicked the signs.

In cold climates; Why the hell do soo many vehicles get too bloody hot too fast forcing one to turn off the heater which then makes vehicle too cold. It's like there is no middle ground.

Agree - the higher the alcohol content, the less I can drink for various reasons - driving, hangovers, etc. I can have a hangover that wipes out the whole following day if I cross some threshold (which I can never quite determine!). I have taken to mixing 2 parts beer to 1 part 'NA' beer, but that affects the flavor and is only practical at home ...

I'm with you only partly on this ... I am a lifelong windows user, and recently bought a top of line macbook air with mavericks. The trackpad is a thing of beauty compared to 99% of windows alternatives (though those made by Synaptics are close, as long as the drivers are ok). The battery life is amazing, and the overall mechanical construction / 'feel' is wonderful (as it should be for $2,000). However - 'Mavericks' (the latest flavor of OSX, the 'windows' equivalent) isn't anything special. I'm with you that Windows 8.x is a big pain, but - windows 7 really nailed it from a stability and usability perspective, and I find myself often frustrated by Mavericks/OSX. 'Finder' sucks compared to 'explorer' - even mac bigots admit that. Want to use an external monitor (at full resolution) with the lid open (so you can use built-in keyboard/trackpad, and disable the built-in LCD)? Can't do it without major hacks. Want to take a screenshot of just the currently active window for troubleshooting or documentation purposes? Get used to command-ctrl-shift-4, then click/drag - or some similar contortion - compare to 'Alt-PrintScreen' in windows. Troubleshooting network issues? want to do 'ping'? they just buried their network utility deep down somewhere for no good reason (new in Mavericks). Want to block popups in general in Safari but enable for specific sites? No can do. The lack of hard 'page up/down' buttons is a major pain to me, as is the lack of forward delete button (yes I can achieve them using key combos, but that requires two hands).

My point on this one is, windows 7 came a long way and Mac users who diss Windows are remembering 'the old days'. Sadly, MS have shot themselves in the foot again with windows 8 so Mac has again got an opening to keep winning customers.

I use VMWare Fusion to let me run BOTH Windows 7 AND OSX concurrently and it works very well, so I'm not complaining too much.

Yes, this is a big complaint of mine too around where I live. Once you get outside the town or city centre the street signs start disappearing. In fact, the problem seems to get even worse the "nicer" the area is.

Lucky I have GPS because otherwise I'd never find my way.

Healthcare specialist appointments (orthopedic in my case) where you explain everything to the "clinical assistant" who then goes and tells the specialist who comes in and repeats back to you everything you just told the assistant, and you spend the next 5 minutes correcting them because the clinical assistant was listening for certain answers to their questions, and not the ones I was giving.

Seems a bizarre and inefficient way of running things to me. Same thing happens at my gyno too, and as far as I can make out, the specialists aren't actually doing anything else during the time the assistant is talking to me - not in with a patient, other people doing paperwork and taking notes.

I'm sure the clinical assistants are well trained and good at their jobs, it's just that I'm not sure what they're bringing to the whole process.

My wife had a specialist OBGYN appointment today - Without going into detail I was wondering if it was necessary but it's kinda hard to go against a Dr's recommendation. So, wife calls me when she gets to the specialist and tells me it's $600 (give or take) - is that okay? Well I figured it would be that much (not hit deductible yet this year - though probably have with this) so I say well yeah that's fine, it is what it is.

So she sees the specialist who basically says there was no point in her seeing my wife. Well now I'm peeved because that unnecessary appointment cost me $600! Grrrr!

This. One bazillion times this. except I'm feeling less charitable and I'm fairly certain that the clinical assistants are basically a waste of valuable oxygen

Glad it's not just me. Even at the dentists with the thing of seeing the dental hygienist first and then the dentist floats in for 2 minutes for a quick poke about - it's not like the dentist is then rushing off because they've got lots of other patients waiting. They're off to drink coffee and chat to the admin staff.

It all seems very relaxed compared to the UK where the specialists and my (private) dentist seem to have a lot more "face" time with the patients - and thus we think they work a lot harder.

My dentist doesn't see us at all now - oh last time he did come in to shake my hand.

I agree with almost all of your points. Finder is indeed a confusing mess, file management in Mac in general is really terrible. Also, Windows 7 is/was indeed great, it's 8 and 8.1 that I can't stand. I bought a brand new Thinkpad Yoga over the holidays and the thing simply didn't work. Many driver (wifi, display, trackpad) had basic stability issues, all metro/Modern apps (Mail, News, Sports... evn IE) force crashed on startup, it would crash on wake-up from sleep etc. I don't think hardware makers have good Win8 drivers yet, even though it's been out for a long time now. Add in the insanity of the Win8 interface (seriously, shoehorning two versions of everything on one machine was your solution MS?) and I'm very happy I returned the blasted thing and went to Mac.

Its a great time of year to be in Arizona weather wise, 66 degrees. I just really fancy getting some fresh air. So ...

Not being able to open my office window because they don't open. The only fresh air that enters the building has to come from the front door when it gets opened.

Not being able to open my car window because of those stupid trucks with side facing exhaust pipes that will drive past and fill my car with exhaust fumes. And I'll die from carbon monoxide poisoning.
