Fall decorations are nice. Esp. in the North East. Bales of hay and pumpkins, stalks of corn up yer bum. It rolls straight into Halloween. Which, admittedly is a load of poo. But the kids like it.

they are called parsnips but they just arent very popular here. Try either a local greengrocer or I do know that Safeway stocks them.

I love them roasted with a drizzle of honey.

Parsnips that is......not safeway!

Excuse me whilst I have a very loud laugh out loud moment...lol

Of course I've gone native. Been here nearly a decade.....and happen to love celebrating the different holidays. We never really celebrated a thing in S.A......Christmas in the middle of summer is not conducive to celebrating IMO.

I even wear CHRISTMAS JUMPERS.

Even as a 'Native', this is the 1st year we have decorated for halloween... a couple of scarecrows from BigLots, a bale of hay and some pumpkins- and it was fun putting it all out. IP Jr. is wondering what the heck it is, but has a blast pulling out the straw from the bales.

Bit of a probl seeing I don't have one!..LOLOL

And I don't scrapbook, though I've had pressure applied from different quarters over the years..

And yes, I do wear the jumpers. Elvira, you obviously haven't been around that long or you'd recall!..LOLOL
