Written on many a bog wall
It's no good standing on the seat,
the crabs in here can jump six feet
Keeping the bogs clean and crab free could well be the reason for charging 20p and let's face it toilet attendants deserve a living wage also

50p?? That's ten shillings! In my day in London I would have expected some serious personal assistance for that kind of money!

It was 40 bloody pence in Whitby today. Pay the guy at the door and he triggered the electronic lock so you could get in. You got a ticket as well, another first.

Why not use the conveniences inside cafes or restaurants? Who gives a shit if the places don't like non customers using them. McDonalds and Starbucks don't keep their toilets locked. Just walk in, do the deed and walk out.
The only fuss made about my illicit use of a toilet was in a small café in France. I was subject to some verbal abuse from the proprietress of the establishment as I walked out but since I didn't understand a word she was saying it mattered not.

Never go to McD here. In Nice they lock the loos and you get a code on your receipt to the door. Of course you could just follow someone in.

Most places here share toilets with other businesses in the block and they're always locked. You want to go, you get the key from the front desk of whatever restaurant/bar/shop you're in.
