I see. It was just a vacation trip. A mere 10 days stay in England. I was 13 years old at that, I didn't know much. We ate mash potatoes a lot though, and sandwiches. But thats pretty much it. That is why I asked. I still believe I offended some users in the thread, that is why I asked for forgiveness.

"All the world 's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.
They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts"

Your teacher fails to use the tense shift after the verb wish. It's similar to the shift that occurs in conditionals -- a place where many Americans also come totally unstuck.
I am a troll. I wish I weren't
He was nasty. I wish he hadn't been.
She doesn't understand. I wish she did.

I will tell my teacher about your opinion about Shakespeare, I am sure she would be glad to hear it.

No, not a foreign exchange. Somebody that helps out with childcare, light housework, etc for a few hours a week in a home in exchange for living there and a small salary - have a look at www.newaupair.com

I'll talk to you later everyone. I have to go skating. I really enjoyed talking to y'all. I am very sorry if my questions were annoying you guys or offended you(which still I don't get why).
Thank you for being accommodating. And again, I am deeply sorry if I offended others.
