Default Newbie here

I am new in this forum. Let me tell you something about myself.

I am an American, I live in Texas, and I am interested in meeting people from Europe. I have been to Ireland and England 2 years ago and I loved it.

I wanted to know more about other cultures and interact with other people from different backgrounds.

LOL Most of us myself included HATE it when an American trys to mimic our accents, its OK when you get to know someone, but its very rude to just meet a Brit and try and do the accent off the cuff.

You have been warned

My friends and I always does the British accent in our English class. We do not mean to rude or anything. We got really into it because of Romeo and Juliet last year. And our teacher made us watch British Humors and Stage Plays.

So we got really excited and started speaking in British accent in our English class.

Our teacher absolutely loves it, she herself is a British decent

Birmingham?!? What on earth made you go there?

Many nicer places to visit - the Cotswolds, Oxford, Bath, Cornwall, Devon, the Lake District, etc.

Have you read Bill Bryson's book 'Notes from a Small Island'? Well worth a read if not.
