Florida deputy killed[size=13px] after officer roommate "jokingly" fires gun he thought was unloaded, officials say.[/size]

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office deputy Austin Walsh was killed Saturday morning in what officials described as an off-duty "avoidable accident." His roommate, Andrew Lawson, was taken into custody Sunday, charged with manslaughter.

The sheriff described the matter as a “clearly dumb and avoidable accident."

Apparently officer Lawson missed the part of training where it was explained that you only ever point a gun at something you intend to shoot. :unsure:
