I hope the result was less catastrophic than in that one John Irving novel. Can’t remember which one it was, but it taught me not to try to multitask in that regard.

My sister and bil live in a gated community in Fort Myers. Their property abuts a nature preserve and their backyard is enclosed with a black wrought iron fence which was installed by the community.

Her next door neighbor has a camera on the rear of the house and if someone or a predator is in their yard it shoots a ray of light at them to scare them off. A young black bear was visually captured shaking their fruit tree before it got frightened away.

The next night while she was sitting in her enclosed lanai,there was a bobcat watching her from the other side of the fence. He eventually returned back to the preserve and all was quiet. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Those police officers are f**king saints! How many times did they ask her to get in the car ... and after telling her repeatedly she must get in the car first, they finally agree to get her belongings first. Unfortunately, that's when they find the bottle of Jack Daniels in the cart, and decide to arrest her!

It's worth watching to the very end - where she says (possibly to God?), "I just want to be able to live my life, with the compli ..., with the compli ... with everything that goes through it. That's what I want" (she's too drunk to enunciate the word 'complications').

Florida man survives encounter with an alligator, albeit with a crushed skull, broken jaw, and lacerated back. ... Now, after choosing to swim in a murky pond, he is portrayed as some sort of hero. :confused:
