Those abominations look like the Pontiac Aztek 2.0.

Flare-side trucks - did any of you rabble see the Top Gear episode where they took a Flare-side 70s truck (maybe a Ford or Chevy), a modern Dodge and a Toyota to Alaska?
The Flare-side turned out to be the best in their contrived episode. Great looking trucks.

I don't like the Raptor - even for US roads, it's a little wide for my tastes. Of course I don't like the HDs either, which Pulaski will no doubt mock me for

Each to their own, and in any case I don't mock people for driving a truck, ….. well maybe Toyota owners just a little bit!

I don’t find mine wide at all when driving. The only time I notice it’s wide is when I parallel park on a slightly narrower than normal street.

I was reading an article that said the number of vehicles sold had gone for 9m to 18m in the last 10 years, more worryingly that most now are on the never never with large number of underperforming loans.

Could be interesting times, basically that there is a bubble that will burst and smack the Manufacturers coming at the same time as the transition to EV.

It will smack the banks and finance companies harder.

In the immediate term sure, but when the banks start raising lending standards then the manufacturers will take the hit on sales figures.

Probably a vehicle finance specialist - after all it was GMAC (GM's finance arm) that was a "leader" during the 2008-2009 financial implosion. GMAC eventually rebranded itself as "Ally Bank", which stuck it's snout in the government trough an unprecedented three times, and was the last bank to pay back it's bailout money. I don't know to what extend Ally is still concentrating on vehicle finance, but I do seem to recall that a few years ago Ally was also the specified lender for Chrysler Dodge Jeep promotional finance deals.

Oh, absolutely! The stupid 0% finance deals that the US public are hooked on will go away, and vehicle sales will plummet.

The Dodge Caliber I bought in 2011 was financed with Ally. Was totaled 18 months later.

I have a 2500HD ; it's a huge PITA driving it in the city. Can't park in any of the covered parking garages, truck is too wide and too long. Got to be careful navigating neighborhood streets that have cars parked on the side, as there isn't enough clearance for my truck and a vehicle coming in the opposite direction lane to squeeze by. Now with this MidWest snow fall, I do like being able to just brute force through over a feet of snow.

Chevy? That us significantly narrower than an F250, by at least around 6" IIRC. I got a lift in Chevy 2500 once and was surprised how narrow it felt compared to my F250.
