For those that haven't worked it out. The first episode of The Grand Tour will be available to stream at 7:01 pm Eastern tomorrow (Thursday).

Of course I might get overruled by Mrs P.
We've had it a couple of years now. My wife signed up so she could get some Christmas stuff shipped quickly for free. Then we got a Fire Stick and now we make extensive use of the Prime video library, which admittedly is mostly comprised of Top Gear, but also a few other things that aren't available on Netflix. I think my wife also uses the Prime music feature quite a bit too, and we get stuff via prime for Audible as well.

You're right about the shipping not being a huge deal though, my own Amazon account isn't upgraded to Prime and I never pay for shipping, always going for the free option when offered. Free two day shipping still comes in handy, though.

On balance, I think it's worth it, though.

Even with a DVR full of shows to catch up on, we're on the Fire Stick most of the time. I think I might want to add Hulu Plus as well, because they have Father Ted (among other things) ...

I love Prime for 1 reason.................We no longer visit the hell hole known as Costco!!

Ok 2 reasons I love ordering something Sunday morning, and getting that afternoon!

We have three subscription streaming services - Netflix, Hulu and Prime, althought the latter is/was a bonus added to the 2-day shipping and other features.

Quite frankly, if it wasn't for the Footy, F1 and football, we'd drop DirecTV like hot bricks as we spend most of the time streaming, especially since I got an upgrade to our internet from 12 Mb/s to 50, with a reduction in price!

James may be "thrilled", but that distant rumble you hear is Ayrton Senna spinning in his grave!

There must be a new law in California that I'm unaware of. It seems that owners of high end Mercs and BMWs are exempt from displaying front license plates. I'm sure that if I removed the front plate from my humble Honda Accord I'd be pulled over and issued a fix it ticket soon after

Which is OK until someone decides to get awkward. In the eighties only one plate was required in CT, but since then they are issued in twos and both are supposed to be used.
