In a related item - american airline toilet rolls. Why did they invent a completely useless product, it dissolves if you look at it, im pretty sure you can see through it, it has to be a joke from some manufacturer. Fly with any asian airline, and its the normal stuff we see in the uk and caribbean, WHY AMERICA!

I'll send her mine. Hate those vile things. Pick them out of salad and give to hubby and never ever ever order them on pizza. Gross!

I have never seen colored toilet paper in the US, I was told that it is not sold here because the coloured paper does not break down well in septic tanks... not sure if that is true or not but that is what I was told.

Not really frivolous because it probably costs little to nothing but one thing I don't understand is this recent fad with the 'man bun'.

Re: Frivolous things I don't understand
I looked it up - the Internet never lies, right? Apparently coloured toilet paper became fashionable in the 1950s and 1960s because housewives wanted perfect colour scheme matches in the bathrooms. So toilet paper started to get manufactured in a range of colours to be able to match bathroom colour schemes.
Then around the 1990s, "colour neutral" started to become vogue, and consumer tastes changed. It was more expensive to produce coloured toilet paper, and with declining sales, producers just stopped. As well - the point about environmental damage took hold though it was never actually proven.
I saw the same things on two or three sites, and then stopped looking.
So I hope that satisfies everyone's curiosity.

You apparently still can get coloured toilet paper on Amazon, from one particular company (don't know if I can name it due to site rules). $8 per pack.
