Just an observation, but Gove does mildly resemble Frank Underwood. Maybe after he ages a little.

Boris seemed suspiciously happy about getting backstabbed. I reckon Gove offered a nice incentive. What cabinet position might be available?

Well, at least there's a plan. Backstabbing and underhanded, dirty politics is always good. I sawr it on telly.

As much as I don't like May, we need someone who is reasonable to negotiate our exit and get the best terms possible. Gove is a sinister man who seems to have used his good mate Boris as a bit of a shield. Nothing really wrong with that in politics but it does raise more questions about trusting that man to govern a country. If only Labour had a clue, they could exploit this mess but instead they've allowed a man that can't win an election to hold the party hostage because teens and 20 somethings are naive and believe he possess magical remedies.

To be honest I'm not at all sure he wanted the job. He knew he wouldn't be able to keep his campaign promises, and it is going to be messy whatever happens. It's also much too much like hard work for Boris' taste. He's more of a dabbler and dinner party conversationalist than a real politician and certainly not a negotiator. Maybe he'll have another try later when it isn't so difficult.

I heard that Boris has pulled out of the leadership race. I think Gove and May are now the only 2 running.

Hopefully May then, out of those two.

What happened to Crabb?

A bit of a homophobe, but the council background might flip things around for him?

But either way, not a great running pool of candidates.

Interesting, so in 6 months' time both the US and UK will have women leaders (probably), as the top 2 candidates in the UK are women.

Yeah, but of course the UK already had a 37 year head start in that race anyway.

Isn't she the one who introduced that rule that effectively meant I'd never be able to bring my wife back to the UK to live?

How will that be affected by Britain pussying out of Europe, I wonder?

Tough on foreigners, tough on the causes of foreigners.

If anything it'll get harder when the net migration figures are unaffected by Brexit.

Anyone else seen this one? The idea that a team of barristers would use crowdfunding to pay for another barrister's investigation and opinion on the legality of the Brexit referendum.....I'd have thought that the Tory party would be jumping on this as a way out.

Just having a glance around at some of the other legal commentaries out there.

"Brexit is the most important decision that has faced the United Kingdom in a generation and it has massive constitutional and economic ramifications. In our constitution, Parliament gets to make this decision, not the Prime Minister."

a lengthy discussion concerning our constitution and royal prerogative...

Not that it's going to be something we'll have to worry about anymore.

Moving there was almost a very real possibility a few years ago, then that stupid law ****ed it for a start. I make more money here than I would there anyway so I'm not bothered anymore. Pissed me off at the time though.
