No, we get to eat our own stash.

My 'hood has become very popular as a destination-T-or-T stop; the parents drive them over here from parts elsewhere. I get one Costco size bag and that does me.. I don't like it when the older kids come late on so I turn out the light (the universal 'go away' signal for Halloween).

Over at the beach, we get a day time crowd going around downtown on a sort of sanctioned thing but that's because so many homes there are 2nd/vacations and it would take you 20 hours to make the rounds of town. We go through at least 3 of the Costco size bags there.

Can't be worse than those horrible "circus peanuts" candy....big fluffy things shaped like a peanut that just tastes like mushy cardboard. Bleh!

eww, agree, those are awful.

How about Smarties? I've eaten myself sick on those more than once, and it's always a Halloweenie problem...

I'm kind of surprised with the disgust toward Candy Corn. I gather most of the people here have never tried a Pixy Stick.

Talk about a 'gateway substance' to cocaine abuse.

Very appropriate for election season.

Well, I will always think of your sweet story when I see Candy Corn now, but still can't eat it.

Do you remember the giant size Pixy Stix (and I do think it was spelled with an "x") in the plastic tube that was about four feet tall? Or at least they seemed that tall when I was 10.

I don't remember those, but I used to like the little tiny wax bottles with liquid inside, so much fun to eat!

The Smarties I remember are not chocolate, but tangy fruity flavors...
