I love the mixture of names and avatars from Red Dwarf, Hitchhikers Guide and Batman on this page.

Difficult to argue that, although ‘Did a 360’ to ACTUALLY mean ‘a reversal in direction’, to say nothing of
‘I could care less’ when one means ‘I could NOT care less’ ... they don't fail to place and show;
‘irregardless’ only wins by a nose.
(And I've given up on ‘inflammable’ ... now, if people try to tell me it means ‘fire-proof’, I give them a match ...
and just walk away).

My husband was hiring a car and got all these stock phrases
"Hows your day going?" etc etc from the guy behind the desk. Wait two minutes and the guy asks the identical questions all over again.

'Oh he did a complete 360 and now he wants to stay.'
'You mean a 180, right'
'No, he didn't want to before, he did a 360'
'So he still doesn't want to?'
'No he does now'
'Are you inflammable?'
'Of course I am, I'm not made of paper!'
'Oh goody' *lights match and walks away*

First time the geezer says "offside"; second and every othr time he says "offsides". It was not just each instance he was complaining about, it was the bulid up of no-calls.
