The point is that she's divisive and therefore the Russians like her and they are doing their thing so there is a real footprint of their support. What Gabbard does about that is up to her. In a way, it looks like what happened with Jill Stein. Clinton, knowing all of this, chose to be a bomb thrower because the two of them are in a pissing contest.

It is all troubling though if you think about it. This is what the Russians do, everybody knows that and they'll never stop, but this is what it looks like when they go unchecked.

You're right, Gabbard elaborated wildly on what Clinton said. Still, what Clinton said implied a lot and she could have been less incendiary . . . But she wasn't.
