Re: 2020 Election
I do not know why anyone would go to any rally right now, Trump or BLM or anything else.

Re: 2020 Election
So the situation in Kentucky seems a bit of a cluster leading up to their primary.

Re: 2020 Election
Kamala Harris is definitely looking like the odds on favorite for the VP slot. At one point Abrams' light was burning brighter but recent events taking place in the country has given additional opportunities for players on the main stage to shine and Harris has done so brilliantly. I would say she is far enough ahead in the VP race that it is now her's to lose.
Never thought I'd be saying this but those two senate seats in Georgia are now up for grabs. All those crazy police shootings in Georgia has galvanized eligible residents that don't often use their vote. There are two senate seats up in November which doesn't often happens in one state in the same cycle. Would not be surprised at all if Democrats pick up one of them. Based on all accounts people in Georgia want serious change. Democrats are on pace to pick up about 5 senate seats. I heard the news tonight that the European Union is considering banning American travelers from entering the EU due to our government's feckless handling of the coronavirus. America's new stigma is well deserved. |

Have to admit to not seeing Harris once during this whole thing (though of course I don't doubt she has spoken out), whereas I've seen Abrams on a number of occasions, always poised and erudite.

I think Trump today is planning to sign an Executive Order that protects RACIST statues and monuments. You can't make this stuff up. He is the gift that keeps on giving. And, just like I said would happen Trump is seriously struggling to figure out how to run against Biden. His usual racist and nickname attacks aren't working because moderate voters trust Joe Biden far more than Trump. Old Donald can't scare voters by calling a moderate progressive Biden a threat to America like he could have against a Hillary or Sanders. What I'm noticing is Harris' stand on BlackLivesMatter and the fight in the Senate to change policing laws has sucked up a lot of national attention. That spotlight has catapulted her even more so on the national stage. She seems to have the pulse of the country correct and imo that has given her the advantage in the Veep stakes race. Feel like it's her slot to lose. Momentum is everything in life. And Biden will probably make his pick in the next 8 weeks. |
Re: 2020 Election
Abrams is very impressive. Can't utter a single negative thing about her. Being leader of the minority party in a state house does not qualify you for very much. There's no way she's getting the VP nomination to a 78 year old President. It'll be Harris. |

Even my family members that live in Georgia are noticing the reverberation of a blue wave coming. I also have family and friends in North Carolina and they are saying the same thing. Something different is happening because of Trump's decision not to fight the Coronavirus and that choice is destroying Republicans in about every Blue and Purple state. And keep in mind that our southern states are just now sadly experiencing the Virus at a record level similar to New York's explosion 3 months ago. Trump's lack of leadership with the protest and virus outbreak is coming home to roast. And from what I understand Trump is soon to end federal funding for coronavirus testing in all the states. You can't help but ask yourself does Trump really want to win based on looking at his boneheaded decisions. |
Re: 2020 Election
To be quite honest I'm looking at the current trend and momentum that seem to have swung greatly in favor of Democrats because the Virus is getting worse in most southern states and the protest in states like Georgia over BlackLivesMatter is awakening voters there that don't always step out to the polls. |

Re: 2020 Election
When fellow Conservatives are raising money and putting up this kind of ad against a President in their own party, you know something has to change.

I believe reasonable sentiment would agree with your statement. Abrams has the ability to be VP, but for Biden considering his age many voters would want a national player that can take over as President on day one. That has to give Harris additional momentum.
