As a Georgian, I can tell you that even in this deep red county (93% Trump in 2016) they are saying that Kemp is doing a terrible job.

I think Dems have a decent shot at both Senate seats come November.

From that site:
"The three big cable news networks owned the top spots across all of cable for the month both in primetime and the total day: Fox News ranked first in both measures, averaging 3.68 million viewers in primetime — its best month ever — and 2.24 million for the whole day, per Nielsen same-day figures. MSNBC (2.04 million) ranked second in primetime, just ahead of CNN's 1.95 million. The two switched places in total-day rankings, with CNN at 1.36 million and MSNBC at 1.28 million."

So Fox almost outdoes both it's competitors combined. Yikes.

Considering the population is 328 million, that means about 1% are watching Fox, and less than 1% watching the other guys. Those don't seem high numbers to me. I just checked with my 30-something nephew; he doesn't have cable service, he streams everything over data. When I asked about what 'news channel' he watched, he didn't really understand the question - the concept is alien to him, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's not typical for all his generation.

I followed up a bit with my 30-something nephew. He gets his news from .... 'YouTube'. I see YT as a source for specific videos which I search specifically for, but I think he's all set up with an account, and uses it in a more 'comprehensive' manner. I'm guessing he gets 'fed' news based on preferences and/or behavioral patterns he's demonstrated. This guy has a good degree (biotech), a great high-paying job, and is quite smart. So I can only conclude, he's probably representative of the younger generation. I find this quite disturbing ... I'm going to have to spend more time in YT and see if I can figure out how it can be a 'news' source ...

Just subscribe to your flavor of news channel. They will deliver all sorts of videos into your inbox everyday. CNN sends all sorts of crap. All of them have a YT 'channel' nowadays.

I saw several Trump ads last few nights on TV during Jeopardy. Negative ads against Biden, focusing on Biden's criticism of Trumps decision to ban China travel. This is in Arizona, which I guess is considered a swing state now. Governor Ducey is opening up the state as we speak, prematurely in my opinion.

YouTube is now the second most used platform after Facebook I think, and the primary use is to look for information, not just listen to music or whatever.

North Carolina Senator Richard Burr is being investigated for possible insider trading charges. North Carolinians are not very forgiving when it come to criminal acts by elected officials. The smell of corruption makes holding on to that Senate seat, and Trump winning in NC that much more difficult. All this happening five months before the election is a disaster for the Republican party. Biden simply needs to stay positive and take the high road and allow his many surrogates to bombard Trump with factual negative speak. President Obama and Michelle are both going to be unmatched advocates selling Biden's many attributes. There is no one in the Republican party who can influence the majority of the population to a similar level.

Trump is going to be desperate for multiple debates to make-up for his lack of campaign rallies. I would give Trump one or two debates, if I were Biden, and constantly attack the old expert on every crazy thing he has said including drinking disinfectant by coronavirus victims. Stick to the facts, smile and be professional and allow Trump to be extremely emotional and tell his lies. OMG, Obama would intellectually manhandle Trump. Just follow Nancy Pelosi's example which btw is a masterclass in taking Trump down to size. I have family in Georgia and they are saying the virus is spiking since the big re-opening and if this continues another 4 to 6 weeks the spread will be much worse than had they given the shutdown more time to work. Folks in Georgia are going to hold those responsible for these boneheaded decisions. Sadly a lot of poorly informed Trump supporters are having to pay a health price because many are walking around without any mask and the virus is spreading.

This is always going to be a difficult one, but I am uncomfortable reading about a landlord dissing their tennant. Especialy when discussing late payments and failed attempts of eviction.

Agreed, but where do you draw the line? There's a lot in that article - and other articles that have investigated her claims - that gives you pause for doubt about the veracity of her claims. It's right that her claims be taken seriously, but the flip side of that is that is reasonable investigation of them. Here's a summation of those doubts:

PBS News Hour did their own extensive investigation into Reade's claims - which they ran last night
It involved tracking down/interviewing scores of people who worked for Biden over the course of his political career - including some who worked in his Senate office at the same time she did.
I doubt this video link will work - but if it does - the piece begins at 23:26. It's iimpressive - tho', admittedly, not decisive.
Nevertheless, I do not believe her allegation.

Descent into darkness...
Having already gone from gutter to sewer...
To what depths can Trumpian election desperation ultimately drag us ?

The New York Times (Jonathan Martin) is now reporting that Trump progeny  Donnie Jr. is hinting / implying, on social media, that Vice President Biden is....wait for it...
* A PEDOPHILE *

I've come to think about Covid 19 as not only the infectious disease it is, but also as a metaphor for Donald Trump (and all that's Trumpian)
Both Covid strains manifest as uncontrollable, raging, life-threatening dangers:

"Covid 19" infects and decimates the human body.
"Covid Trump" does likewise to the body politic.

....But if our body politic can manage to withstand the unceasing, infectious assaults unleashed between now and November by "Covid Trump" - our vote in the next election will, hopefully, be the antibody to battle our body politic to recovery.
But, like with "Covid 19", damage suffered by the organs of democracy may be slow to heal or even permanently affected.
We are all Anthony Fauchi in that battle ie: our own saviors
Will our vote be the antibody that will slay the metaphoric Covid - the "Covid Trump", that has infected us?

I feel grim and worried...but hopeful...maybe....

Here's link to latest "Covid Trump" manifestation:

Is this based on a premise that all landlords are money-grubbing scumbags and all tenants are saintly beings, who would never not pay rent unless forced to do so by circumstances that are perfectly justifiable?

Joe Biden: People who believe Tara Reade 'probably shouldn't vote for me'

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...me/5197215002/Biden made the comments while appearing on MSNBC's The Last Word. Host Lawrence O'Donnell asked what he would tell women who were eager to vote for him in November but now have pause because they believe Reade's allegations.

"I think they should vote their heart, and if they believe Tara Reade, they probably shouldn't vote for me. I wouldn't vote for me if I believed Tara Reade," Biden said.
