Along with the feeling that someone (Kasich) talking sense is a vote loser makes me very concerned for the whole dynamic. Fiorina perpetuated the Planned Parenthood lies too. Lying to get votes, great.
What's rather counterintuitive (amongst the sages in these pages, at least) is that the state with the highest rate of childhood vaccinations (MMR, DTaP, and varicella vaccines) is Mississippi - the prototypical red-neck, knuckle-dragging, poorly-educated, God-bothering state.

Kasich's stated opposition to involvement in Iraq and the ME is a loser in conservative circles, whatever the merits of his position. Besides, there is probably not a single Democrat in the country who would vote for him in preference to Clinton, Sanders, Biden or any of the other contenders on the other side of the aisle because of his views on the ME. Anyone who wants to turn his/her back on events in the ME and let what happens happen knows how they're going to vote. So Kasich's principled position, being a vote loser in that dynamic, makes sense.

The Cruz supporters are even worse.

He has his fan club. I don't think that they've figured out that he's Hispanic.

Vaccine denial crosses party lines, but for different reasons. Democrat vaccine deniers tend toward yuppie/millennial/hippy demanding everything be farm to table organic. Republican vaccine deniers tend towards its a big pharma/gov conspiracy.

According to his desired Security service code name "Cohiba" he is apparently a Cuban communist sympathizer.

Yes, Marin County north of San Francisco has a very low rate of vaccination. Plenty of people there fit the above description despite their politics being very liberal.

Responding to the question, “Do you think Barack Obama was born in the United States?” only 29 percent of Republicans answered yes, against 44 percent who said no, and 26 percent were not sure.

The next question from PPP was, “Do you think Ted Cruz was born in the United States?” And here the answer from Republicans was 40 percent yes, 22 percent no, and 39 percent not sure.

Poll: Republicans Go Birther On Obama — And Think Ted Cruz Was Born In U.S.A.!

Of course, we all know that the GOP is the political party of intelligent people.

But it doesn't for the candidates, which is the point.

There are certainly some clowns who support Democrats. But those who are running for president are not behaving like that and there is no anti-vax movement making headway within the party itself.

Not that Obama's religion should be an issue anyway, but 54% of Republicans think Obama is a Muslim:

Of course, we all know that the GOP is the political party of intelligent people.
But, but, you're the people always wanting universal suffrage. We've also seen videos of young, urban millennials in California who thought that Sarah Palin was Obama's running mate. Maybe the original idea that voters should be reasonably educated, literate, and conversant with the issues and the facts behind the issues wasn't entirely ridiculous. Consider this: your super well-informed vote is cancelled out by one of these yahoos.
