We've discussed Carson's prejudices earlier in this thread. They may not disqualify him from being president, but they would certainly make me feel uncomfortable having such a person in that position.

Weak beer that one. Others who could either fall asleep at the drop of a hat or who scheduled daily naps include: Churchill, Napoleon, LBJ, JFK and Reagan. Now if you mean he sounds boring enough to put you to sleep...I could agree. But disqualification?

I know it's a bit early, but I see the 2020 election is going to be entertaining as well now that Kanye West has announced he will be running for President.

He seems to be falling asleep standing up. Theoretically, there's not much of anything that disqualifies anybody from being president. However, his general meanness and bigotry will disqualify him, at least in the minds of many individual voters.

An entertainer for President? Wasn't there one back in the '80s?

Are you suggesting that everything that has come out of his mouth so far isn't enough?

As an aside I hate the current trend that a candidate's former occupation makes them apparently automatically good for the presidency. I'm sure Carson is a fine surgeon that does not automatically qualify him for politics, likewise former business people etc.

The wife rapist, Donald Trump, has decided to publicly shame and bully Huma Abedin for her husband's actions. The luddite version of cyber stalking and slut shaming.

It's clearly aimed at shoring up the asshole demographic in the Republican party.

We got it. Any sharp exchange (as defined by her acolytes in the media) with Hillary in a debate - any debate - is bullying. So she's untouchable and the opponent who doesn't follow the rule is fated to become the next Rick Lazio. Might as well dispense with the election and have her sworn in as the next Prez.

You don't see any difference between a "sharp exchange" and the nature of Trump's comments about Huma Abedin?

Since I haven't even mentioned anything he's said about Hillary, your remarks seem a little bit hysterical. Perhaps you should lie down in a cool room with the shades drawn until this passes.

Trump attacked a silent campaign worker who's done nothing wrong. He's accused her of sharing classified information with her "perv" husband. She's not running for anything. She's a soft target and he's bullying her because he gets off on it. He's a disgusting waste of skin. Deal with it.

I love it - Trump now proposing increases in taxes ...
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/01/us...-on-taxes.html

You can start unnecessary wars, try to deny healthcare to millions, deny the right to vote, but you can't raise taxes if you are a republican ... so this one should be interesting to watch!

He's nudging himself towards running on an independent ticket, which frankly would be disastrous for the GOP.
