Vague theory I sort of saw on the internet that explains why the GOP are falling in line behind their candidate.
They know he's a crook just as most sane people do. They assume his populism will win the race. The GOP will then impeach their own president and install Pence. Christian conservativism will reign, abortions will be banned, the SCOTUS will be stacked for the next generation etc etc etc...

I got my 9 page ballot in my email this evening.
Are other states as obsessed with ballot measures as California is? 6 of the 9 pages on the ballot is just ballot measure after another.

NY Times just out with a detailed, full-throated Hillary endorsement

Should put some wind in her sails heading into Monday's showdown typhoon

It's pretty telling that not one major paper has endorsed Trump. Usually there are certain papers that fairly reliably back a particular side. Nope even some well known GOP leaning places are endorsing Hillary.
Yeah sure Trump gets endorsed, by the kkk, stormfront, Nazis, the zodiac killer...

In those instances, an unexpected endorsement can exert a strong influence on those who may not yet have made up their minds.
So....with that in mind (and grasping at every shred of hope) I'll take comfort in the fact that the Cincinnati Enquirer has just endorsed Clinton.
This is its first Democratic endorsement in 100 years!
And with Ohio being a "crucial, hotly contested State - that endorsement is cause for optimism.
Also....the Dallas Morning News gave Clinton its first Democratic endorsement in 75 years.
But (alas), though it may influence on-the-fence-undecideds - I don't think a Texas win for Hillary is in the cards

. Oh hang on, they don't get to choose over there ...not even in their own
"democratic" electionsBoth Clinton and Trump are meeting with that sometime troublemaker Netanyahu, tomorrow. Will be interesting to see who spins what and how....

Seems both parties were in a competition to put up the silliest candidate.
Fascinating dynamics with the Obamas and Bushes at the dedication of the African American Museum. Now that Cruz has caved, the last major holdouts are the Bush family (other than the twerp, George 3.0) and Kasich.
I wonder how much it pisses Trump off that Obama can button his suit jacket.

Strong messaging. The Bushes are telegraphing to moderate Republicans - "Never Trump". It doesn't surprise me that Laura Bush is on the board but it certainly wasn't broadcast before hand. I'm a fan-girl of Laura, I think she's stunning and has never missed a step. She's the one that tempered W in regards to Hispanic relations thus winning him the presidency. But it was a conscious choice for the Bushes to do that type of stagecraft today.

I almost missed it. Freudian slip?
