The alt-right love safe spaces more than any 18 year old liberal arts feminist. There's a Trump subreddit that outright bans any poster who even hints that they might once have had a thought in a dream that they maybe wanted to question something Trump said one time. It's pathetic. They rally round a candidate that has no political experience whatsoever and the only thing they have to fight a seasoned veteran is a box of dank memes.

The Trump campaign is basically 4chan leaked into the real world.

For not liking Hillary? She's about as unpopular as Trump is according to national polls and in all fairness how many at Trump rallies do actually yell out their hatred for her? I will vote for her when the time comes but it's only because she's very obviously by far the best of a very bad choice.

As for behavior at political rallies has anyone forgotten the hooliganism and near riot which took place in California when Trump was here?

....and then Trump, who is nothing if not a cynical manipulator...swoops up her comment and misapplies it to the other 50% (or whatever the hell the accurate percentage is), implying she's denigrated *them*.

No. For being racists, homophobes, Islamaphobes, xenaphobes, etc. That is what she said in the speech.

The reporting about the behavior at the Trump rallies has been well documented in this thread, I'm not going to repost those links.

My point is that those people who throw around threats and insults (directed at Clinton specifically but not exclusively) and ridicule "political correctness", don't get to now cry because their feelings are hurt because she said mean words. Give me a break. Calling these scumbags deplorable is an insult to deplorable people.

I would say it's taboo for any candidate to generalize in a negative way any group supporting the opposition.

Let them yell insults at each other til kingdom come but don't call all illegals rapists and murderers and Muslims potential terrorists or Trump supporters as deplorable.

This campaign is enough of a pissing contest as it is already. The nastiest I've seen in all my years here. Lets not make it worse.

Clinton has apologized for her generalization; her opponent has never apologized for any of the outrageous things he's said. Clinton's comments were very much correct in other respects in that Trump has encouraged divisive groups to support him by pandering to their worst fears. But definitely politically tin-eared of Clinton to make that generalization.

So her statistics show that 50 percent are in the above category? Where did she get that percentage from ?

Anyway my point is that she made a stupid mistake at a time when her campaign isn't going that well at all. Hopefully with Obama's upcoming support she will manage to regain the lead and avoid future Trump-isms

Whatever the result of this election is...I see trouble on the horizon. A Trump victory would be a disaster in so many ways and a Clinton win is not going to send the lunatic branch of Trump supporters home with acceptance of the result. Things could get very ugly. I think the Secret Service would have their hands full.

Trump speech today says Apple will be making iphones in the US under his presidency.

How can he get away with saying such total garbage? Cant the media get Tim Cook on a show and ask him what he thinks of that idea? Or are they too busy counting how many drinks of water Clinton takes in a day

My inner Cassandra says...
These past 15 months and the next couple till the election are but a bad dream prologue to the nightmare to follow.

Meh, we said that 8 years ago when Obama was first elected. All we got was a booming economy and low unemployment.

Um, from the polls. Turns out if you ask about half of Trump supporters then they will believe shit that's deplorable.

Clinton's only mistake was to say she regretted what she said, rather she should have just pointed to the facts.
