Sputnik is Russian state-run media, the successor of the old RIA Novosti government news agency. It's the opposite of "alternative" media -- it's government propaganda. (The BBC, it is not.)
Russia intensifies propaganda war by launching global news agency Sputnik The question that we should be asking ourselves is why the Kremlin is aligned behind Trump and opposes Clinton so strongly that it sought to have Sanders win the Democratic nomination. Anything that Vladimir Putin wants should make us all very nervous. I'm sure that Trump winning the Republican nomination would be manna from heaven. Never in his wildest dreams could Putin have envisioned somebody so colossally stupid, as well as easily manipulated, sitting in the White House. |

The next Trump bankruptcy could be the GOP.
Shocking Numbers Reveal GOP's Big Secret: Trump Is Bankrupting The Republican Party "RNC contributions are at their lowest point since before 2004" "Don’t believe the Trump created hype. Trump may play a billionaire on reality television, but as a presidential nominee, he is a deadbeat eating all of the RNC’s food while crashing on their couch." |

My attempts to convince my GFiL that Trump and his campaign is antisemitic and not really "good for the Jews" is proving rather fruitless. He's an old school Republican who firmly believes that the Democrats hate Israel and the Republicans and evangelicals are bending over to support Israel for the good of the Jews. Also he thinks Obama is probably still a muslim and I should hate him for sending the bust of Churchill back (both wrong).
Oh well, I tried. |

Latest humorous thing I read. Remember Trump's doctor? You know the one that looked like the mad scientist played by Brent Spiner in Independence Day. Remember the letter he wrote. Well the suggestion is that Trump wrote it himself and got the doc to sign it.
Probably still under audit by his health insurance company. |

No doubt he provided input. ;) |
Re: 2016 Election
This will probably be an election with the lowest voter turnout in decades. Polls show a big majority dislike both candidates and Hillary cannot rely anywhere near a hundred percent backing from Sanders supporters.
Hillary with her E-mails and Clinton foundation issues brought too much baggage to the election campaign but I suppose it's her " manifest destiny" to be the first female President in her way of thinking. I'll always regret that Joe Biden chose not to run. He could have wiped the floor with someone like Trump long ago. |

Former Models for Donald Trump's Agency Say They Violated Immigration Rules and Worked Illegally | Mother Jones
Speaking to supporters in Iowa on Saturday, Trump said he would crack down on visitors to the United States who overstay their visas and declared that when any American citizen "loses their job to an illegal immigrant, the rights of that American citizen have been violated." And he is scheduled to give a major address on immigration in Arizona on Wednesday night. But the mogul's New York modeling agency, Trump Model Management, has profited from using foreign models who came to the United States on tourist visas that did not permit them to work here, according to three former Trump models, all noncitizens, who shared their stories with Mother Jones. Financial and immigration records included in a recent lawsuit filed by a fourth former Trump model show that she, too, worked for Trump's agency in the United States without a proper visa. |
