2016 Election

Right, all the religious nutters use their sky fairy to justify their hatred, does it really matter which fairy they use as an excuse?

Well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
It shouldn't.
Though I am aware that satanists, even though every bit as delusional as godders or the snackbar crowd, are in general non-violent.

And you can't make the claim that God is all sweetness and light. That means you haven't actually read the Bible. The guy was an asshole.

They're mostly harmless.
I have read the Bible and wouldn't think of making that claim

I wouldn't say all religious people are stupid but they are naïve and gullible. Naïve and gullible enough to believe that Hillary is somehow in league with the "Forces of Darkness" just as they believe that Trump is possibly the second coming of the Messiah

So one of Trump's advisers has come out and said Clinton should be shot for treason.

I've got to say, as someone who isn't a fan of Clinton, Trump is doing a great job of getting people behind her with this bullshit.

I watched some of the convention last night. What struck me most is that so many people seem to believe this is all somehow normal, or sensible, or... I don't know, reasonable?
Anyway, my only hope is that after the euphoria wears off, perhaps it will all seem like a weird dream to them. It is a long time till November.
But if I had to take a wild guess, based solely on what I saw last night, I'd say Trump will probably be the next president.
Yeah, can't believe it myself. At some point, I'll may well be thanking my lucky stars for moving to an island without any significant military presence on it.

I have nothing (much) against religious people, it's when they use their religion (or their interpretation of it) to inform themselves on how to govern, understand science, interpret world affairs etc.

It was odd that they would cover up someones banner saying "No racism, no hate" with an American flag. It came across that they are both against no racism and no hate. Made it look like they think the US flag is for racism and hate. Such an odd response to that particular banner.
