So Trump will be announcing his VP pick on Friday. I don't know about you, but I can hardly wait.
Anyone want to guess? The sensible (and I use sensible in the loosest possible sense) is Mike Pence. Of course, this is Trump, so I think it will be Ann Coulter, because fck you America!

I suspect that a lot of our BE members secretly like the "1984" idea of perpetual warfare, and Hillary is the approved candidate of the War Party. Trump? Well, nobody is quite sure what he'll do, but he doesn't seem all that keen on expanding The Empire. Hillary can at least be relied on to slaughter or dispossess another million or so Middle Easterners, and that can't be bad, right?

No Liberal: Hillary Is Pro Multinational and Pro Military-Industrial Complex | The Daily Bell
Now this is from the Ministry of Truth! Trump is a boy scout by comparison.

BTW if you think I like Hillary Clinton's neo-liberalism, then you clearly haven't been paying attention. I'm not happy about the choice we have. But to suggest Trump would be better is massively ignorant. As an example, research Trump's ideas about nuclear weapons and then tell me he would be better than Clinton.

Oh for pity's sake, if you're going to quote 1984, it's a good idea to have actually read the book. Otherwise, you'll look monumentally stupid when you don't understand what the Ministry of Truth represents.

If Trump was elected and tried to do have the shit he has said he will then I think it will only be a matter of time before he is impeached. And this will be a real impeachment, not a bullshit Clinton impeachment. That's why the VP pick is important.
#8430
The VP pick is important but everybody decent has bowed out. Sure, Pence is better than Gingrich but he's a wannabe choke artist. His claim to fame is that he was very anti-gay right up until it hurt his image.
