It's just like everything else with Trump his positions are all vapid talking points just to try and win votes. When someone actually makes him answer questions about the implications of his positions he just shows he hasn't thought anything through.

It's about time someone actually held Trump's feet to the fire about some of his positions. I hope it continues.

Trump reverses statement on women, abortion after outcry - CNNPolitics.com
Trump is the most media-savvy guy in the race. And one thing that he understands is that it is possible to stir up your fan club with a comment that they like, then walk back the comment later without losing their support.

At this point, Trump is trying to avoid a brokered convention, so Cruz is his main threat. It behooves him to try to move a few Cruz votes in his direction.

I suspect that the Oxford Dictionary people are already penciling in the word "yuge" as 2016 word of the year.

...to describe Trump's "yubris"

which (hopefully) was diminished somewhat by his eat-crow abortion punishment reversal yesterday

Could this, at last, be the beginning of his fall from graceless?

Or is that magical thinking?

Can someone explain what just happened to the Democratic Nevada caucus. Seems they flipped the results at the state convention?

Although Clinton had more delegates than Sanders after the Nevada caucus election, Sanders walked away with more wins on Saturday because either her delegates didn’t all show up for the county conventions or they changed their votes. Alternates are able to vote in the place of delegates who don’t show up.

As I understand....

When the Democratic Nevada caucus took place (back at end of Feb.) there was still a percentage of pledged delegates who'd not yet been elected (by the Party)

These remaining delegate spots were only just filled a few days ago, when the Democratic Nevada Party Caucus was finally held.

And apparently, at that event, Bernie's campaign had mobilized his forces in to turn out in sufficient numbers (out-numbering Hillary's) to ensure that a preponderance of the remaining pledged elector spots were nabbed by his loyalists.

Yes, this election - has been an eye opener for me too; it seems to be exposing blatant deficiencies in our so-called democratic system.

Had never given the Electoral College much (any) thought.
Didn't understand it. Simply knew it existed.

Also - never before realized the significance of the (unfair, undemocratic) power exercised by the Party machines.

Seems the closeness, on both sides, of the 2016 Primary elections, - with the increasing likelihood of Open (Contested) Conventions - where floor fights over party rules, pledged/un-pledged delegates and all manner of shenanigans will make this election one for the history books. One which will not be a proud example of Democracy in action.

I think it is worth stressing that I don't think this cycle is particularly an outlier in how things work. It just seems to be more blatant in exposing how bad it has always been.
