2016 Election

I am Flavius!
Cruz will probably get them. Not just because of the similar age (going back to Cruz's snarky remarks about Trump's age - watch this space), nor the Cuban thing (though it can't hurt) but rather because Cruz will put the forth the effort in Florida to peel off those votes. Cruz's campaign is nothing short of brilliant.
EDIT: Not just Florida, obviously, as I'm thinking forward to the general. But, Cruz will put forth all of that effort in the upcoming primary states as well.

I'm bummed out, but not surprised, that my guy, "Little" Marco, didn't carry his own state and has dropped out. Even together, Rubio and Cruz had fewer votes than Trump. Only if Cruz and Kasich's voters all voted for Rubio could he have won.
I think his voters, like me, will mostly go to Cruz, as the anti-Trump guy. No way am I voting in the non-decisive, virtually pointless, Pennsylvania primary for Kasich - he has no chance and is merely a burr under Trump's saddle. His only prayer is for a brokered convention where he ends up as the Establishment's pick. Otherwise Trump grafts him onto his ticket to win Ohio in the general. Trump may have to do that to avoid Kasich screwing the pooch in Cleveland. Then he'd better have someone taste all his meals for him until his term is up. That's how I feel about The K.

Top liberal leaders call for 'massive' anti-Trump campaign - POLITICO
This is perhaps the best hope now; a big 'get out the vote' campaign among Democrats, inspired by Trump. I raised this question before, but it got buried in the 'noise' ... SURELY, even if people are not enthusiastic about Clinton, how can you NOT be enthusiastically opposed to Trump!

One other thing about Clinton - when she raises her voice at her rallies she sounds like she's hectoring everyone. A small thing, I suppose, but it grates like hell on my nerves when I'm watching her. Do you love her delivery, Axeman, RoadWarrior, The Right Hon. Sir Ecles MBE, dc, McZaki?

There seems to be an enthusiasm gap on your side. On the centre-right side there is an enthusiasm born of desperation to reverse the course of the nation's drift. Trump may well win significant white "Reagan Democrat" voters and make inroads with union rank and file (never the bosses, of course) now that Clinton has stupidly called for putting coal miners out of work and affirming her support for TPP and opposition to the Pipeline. When better educated centre-right voters consider who will be nominating the next three SCOTUS justices, they will also be turning out in droves and it won't be for HRC.

There may be a good number of center-right Republicans who will vote for Trump, and he may get some crossover votes from white working-class Democrats. All the more reason for a concerted effort to get out the vote.
I just can't decide who would be easier to beat - Cruz or Trump. Trump inspires such natural and obvious opposition, but ... he may just lie through his teeth and successfully walk back many of his crazy assertions. I just can't see Cruz walking back his strong positions on women's rights, gay rights, etc. So I dunno anymore ...

I don't like her delivery at all, but her failings are small indeed when seen next to Trump.

I hope we don't have a shrew as our next President. Actually, her failings are fairly significant and well-known. Trump's are mostly his overblown, blustery statements so far, along with Trump U and some other things, but they don't rise to the level of endangering national security.

You want to talk about horrific public speaking? I'm listening to Queen Cruz's tent show sermon. If ever a toad needed a kicking.
