And even if you found it, anyone with a non-group policy was at the mercy of their insurance company if they deigned to get sick. Of course, the fact that this is no longer the case post-ACA is lost on mad poopers.

If only we could buy insurance over state lines, all these problems would go away.

Delegate math would suggest that this is an accurate assessment. Without Ohio, Trump probably can't go to the convention with a majority, which means that the convention will be brokered.

Right wingers have a tough time understanding that in the absence of regulations that otherwise mandate it, insurance companies are unwilling to sell insurance to everyone.

Maybe, maybe not. One of the main ways the insurance companies are keeping costs down is with very restricted local provider networks. Out of state companies would have much more difficulty trying to negotiate with local providers.

It's the providers that are driving the rise in healthcare costs.

Right wingers have a tough time understand that healthcare is far more expensive if done their way, even when the numbers make it blindingly obvious.

(Not a very smart bunch, these right wingers.)

If healthcare was managed intelligently, then there would be no networks.

Well yes, single payer would also make sense too. The problem is "getting there from here" where "here" isn't really the best starting point.

Unfortunately, Obama's wasted effort to be the post-partisan president lost the opportunity to ram it through while Ted Kennedy was still alive. As a result, we ended up with a political football of a healthcare program that still ended up being used as a wedge issue even though it was compromised.

Obama post partisan?

This president will go down in history as the most divisive in post war history, no other president has rammed so much shit down America's throats via unconstitutional executive orders. Gone to such extremes to apologize for America while flat our refusing to publicly acknowledge the link between Islam and terrorism, broken so many promises, both to the African Americans who voted him in or the privileged liberals who probably believed him when he said he'd end Guantanamo

As I said, trying to build unity with American right wingers is an utter waste of time. It is not possible to negotiate with terrorists.

If Obama cured cancer, the GOP would denounce it as a war on oncology. It makes no sense to take these idiots seriously.

Have you figured out yet that black unemployment has fallen during Obama's presidency, or does this "crazy s**t" persona of yours preclude you from acknowledging that you are utterly wrong about pretty much everything?

Obama has had fewer executive orders per year than both the Bushes and Reagan:

History will also note that he had to deal with the most divisive, obdurate group of congresspeople and senators, who cared more about their special interests and preventing the president from getting anything whatsoever accomplished than helping the people they were elected to serve.
