Try finding insurance in the private (not group/employer provided) market, pre-ACA, if you had a pre-existing condition. If you could find it at all, you'd be paying astronomical premiums and get lots of exclusions on coverage.

And even if you found it, anyone with a non-group policy was at the mercy of their insurance company if they deigned to get sick. Of course, the fact that this is no longer the case post-ACA is lost on mad poopers.

Maybe, maybe not. One of the main ways the insurance companies are keeping costs down is with very restricted local provider networks. Out of state companies would have much more difficulty trying to negotiate with local providers.

Well yes, single payer would also make sense too. The problem is "getting there from here" where "here" isn't really the best starting point.

Unfortunately, Obama's wasted effort to be the post-partisan president lost the opportunity to ram it through while Ted Kennedy was still alive. As a result, we ended up with a political football of a healthcare program that still ended up being used as a wedge issue even though it was compromised.
This president will go down in history as the most divisive in post war history, no other president has rammed so much shit down America's throats via unconstitutional executive orders. Gone to such extremes to apologize for America while flat our refusing to publicly acknowledge the link between Islam and terrorism, broken so many promises, both to the African Americans who voted him in or the privileged liberals who probably believed him when he said he'd end Guantanamo |

It makes no sense to take these idiots seriously. Have you figured out yet that black unemployment has fallen during Obama's presidency, or does this "crazy s**t" persona of yours preclude you from acknowledging that you are utterly wrong about pretty much everything? |
