As far as I can tell, every GOP candidate has come out (lol) against the same sex marriage ruling. With some such as Scott Walker calling for a constitutional amendment to allow states to define marriage.

It's weird how they are so against gay marriage for religious reasons when so few of the ten commandments are laws, which are supposedly the foundation of their moral code.

Well, he was constantly healing people (free healthcare), talked a great deal about looking after the poor, orphans and widows (big on social programs) and memorably advised '...give to Caeser what is Caesar's' so he thinks you should pay your taxes.

Btw, grand total of times Jesus talks about homosexuals: 0.

They now dislike the Pope since he is a lot more liberal than them on gay marriage, global warming, and family planning.

A case in point were his latest remarks, in which he affirmed the Catholic Church’s ban on artificial contraception but derided the idea that “in order to be good Catholics we have to be like rabbits” and produce litters of kids.

Conservative Catholics and contraception opponents were also dismayed by the latest from a man who’s been dubbed the “blabbermouth” pope. He appeared to criticize traditional big families (the pope said three children seemed about right) as well as undermine advocates of natural family planning (controlling birth rates without using contraception) by seeming to give aid and comfort to the church’s enemies.

You have to admit that with the Republican Clown Car on the one hand and a Red Pope on the other, there is a great deal of material with which the posters here can demonstrate wit and humour. It's all good.

We still need a Pizza man, a female that failed history in high school, and throw in the Gingrich doughboy for good measure.

I saw a meme that wondered aloud what decade it is since we got a Bush and Clinton running for President and a new Jurassic Park is out .

According to a recent story, most high school graduates failed a basic history test, so that's a given. Christie's got the doughboy thing covered. But with SCOTUS' decision on gay marriage, for Trump-style fun, we need a militant but ugly transvestite in the mix. Then the Party could aggressively court the LGBTQ cash and their votes.

Hillary would have to counter by claiming, and offering proof, that she's been a lesbian all along. This could be the most entertaining election in US history.

Well, she is a Republican... She doesn't fit my criterion because I don't think she's ugly - or a transvestite. But I accept her gender presentation so she's in it. She might actually be the best choice of a pretty sorry lot, but she must first drop the reality show gig and lose her boy bits to complete the picture.
