I think you might be overestimating her GPA. She did bounce around to 6 colleges before finally getting her BA in communications (sorry, that makes me laugh hysterically) after 5 years.

Because she has, despite plenty of practice, gotten worse at public speaking. She seems to scream incoherently in a bouncy kind of way.

I had to google FOAD.

Not very lady like, I am disappointed.

Ok, but how does that explain her high-pitched, shrieky voice - it was like someone had just thrust a butt plug up her fundament.

What was noticeable was how uncomfortable The Donald looked. I believe he thought she was only going to be speaking for a couple of minutes and give him back the mike so he could talk about his poll numbers.

Poor thing. You'd better have a lie down in a cool dark room until it passes.

She's just completely off the rails and always has been.

Be kinder to Boiler. He has to gather his strength for the game between his Broncos and those hated New England "Patriots."

When our Steelers couldn't beat the Broncos (thanks a million Vontaze Burfict and the thugs who play for the Bengals for injuring our best receiver and Big Ben), we, and just about everyone in the country outside of New England became Broncos fans.

Go Peyton!!

The Republican Party would do well to take a close look at South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

It's interesting how those bible-thumping, uneducated, redneck, homophobic, right-to-life, racists in SC happen to have elected a black Senator and a lady whose parents emigrated from India as their governor. Go figure.

Note that Giantaxe said he considered voting for McCain (the McCain of 2000). There are some sensible Republicans; just none in this race.

I love Pink Floyd but have to say I was disappointed seeing them perform 'the wall' at Earls Court in the early 80s ... almost the entire show had the band hidden behind the wall. But it was worth it for "Comfortably Numb"

Speaking of Queen, and with David Bowie dying, I'm reminded that as a teenager, I saw Queen open for David Bowie! No one knew who Queen was, and we all just wanted them to get on with it so we could see Bowie!

I saw Yes, Genesis, and Deep Purple around that time too ... those were the days!

I recollect Meddle, not sure if I remember the first time I saw them live, Hammersmith Odeon maybe?

To be fair, we have entire threads like that on BE.

I thought Palin would get a gig as a talk show host after her last go round. But I suppose it's her right to help the republican party avoid being taken seriously ever again.
