I loved watching the election coverage yesterday. The 8 hours difference meant I did have to stay up all night to see the results come in. Personally, I loved seeing democracy in action, the brutality of it all as long serving MP's were cast aside just like that. The highlight was seeing Ed Balls lose his seat. That would have been worth staying up for just to see that.

Ed was definitely the icing on the cake, I was hoping but I thought he was going to just hold on.

I did stay up until Cameron was driven to London. Watched on SkyNews, on YouTube. Saw "Balls to the Wall" as they might have said. Did they offer him a blindfold and a last cigarette?

Paddy Ashdown's reaction to the exit poll... 'I'll eat my hat if that's true.' Only for the whole thing to slowly materialise through the course of the evening.

Cracking stuff.

How is sustaining an enormous economically liberal trade block in a globalised world illogical? The Euro is a different story.

LOL, yeah, I saw that. Wasn't that on the show that Andrew Neil does? Let's hope they hold Paddy Pantsdown to his promise.

It's a weird day when you agree with both Laura Ingaham and Rand Paul.

While Jeb may currently be the least crazy of the GOP candidates, he's still a Bush.
