I think I might know a bit more about the real side of the every day youngster... as I live and interact with them more...Most will say to their parents "Oh yes, Im looking for work" then go off giggling with their friends ....
Think what you want.. But Im stonger then most becasue I have had to be...

Well I have a good idea about youngsters looking for jobs too, I have got hundrends of CVS that I have been given/sent to consider them for a job.

Some are super qualified, others super desperate just to have a bit of money of their own.

You know the saying... dont belive what you see on the tele... Well, unfortunatly there is another "Dont believe half the stuff that comes out of a teenagers mouth" .... Shame for the ones out there that are actualy honest and decent,...

Exactly, and its our job to do the best we can with what we have... Like I try and do... but unfortunatly I got a load of old age P's on here that are bored at home..... When I try looking for help lol! ..

I'd have to agree ... small group of people on this forum who just like to take the mickey or make snide remarks. Ignore them, its probably because they havent got anything intelligent to say ;):)

This forum is supposed to be about welcoming people and giving the best advice you can in a friendly manner .... I'd ask those (they know who they are) either to act accordingly or butt out!

If this person is genuine wouldn't it be kinder to say that she hasn't a chance of getting a job (unless it's bar work) because the spelling isn't up to standard. I know it's not PC but it is true and we all know it. Also no chance of a mortgage unless on a contrato indefinido, and earning enough money.

Anyway, I know who I am and still think wind-up, don't know about bored pensioners this OP sounds very much like one with some of the stuff. Dude...don't make me laugh:zzz:

Oh come off it. Half of my spelling mistakes are from me typing to fast, but as I have said too many times already.. I MOVED HERE WHEN I WAS 9 YEARS OLD... I STOPPED BEING TAUGHT ENGLISH YEARS AGO!! .. so no... my spelling aint all that.. Get over yourself and grow up, your the first one that started all this stupid stuff anyway.. If you dont have anything good to say.. move on ... Wanna see my Cv... Ive probably done more work then you in your boring life... and if I really wanted to.. I could use spell check....

At least I try to actualy type my words.. not like some that abrevate everything!...........................

But its not your call and you have absolutely no evidence to back that up ... so if you dont like it then leave the thread please rather than just accuse the new poster of being a wind up merchant :);)

Emily, if you know that your spelling isn't very good, as someone whose job used to involve recruiting staff, may I seriously suggest that you get someone else to check over any job applications before you send them off? Misspelt words don't give a very good impression, and a prospective employer who is inundated with applications, as they all will be in an economic climate like this one, will not take the time to think about possible reasons like an interrupted education. It isn't safe to rely on spell check as you might have typed a word like "where" instead of "were" for example, and because that's a correct spelling but the word hasn't been used in the right context, spell check will not pick it up. This is meant as constructive advice.

if you click the New Post or Reply buttons you get a screen to type on

on the top right hand side of that screen - above the Smilies there is a tick with ABC on it

that will spell check for you

if your spelling mistakes are caused by typing too fast - Slow Down, think about what you are saying and remember that many of those posting here are in their 60's or fast approaching, have held down responsible positions in business, are or used to employ people - who are expected to have standards.
A quick check shows that although there are only a few posters responding to you there have been 71 posts BUT 1062 instances of people reading only.
One of whom may just may have a job going - but if your spelling is as poor as shown in English what is it like in Spanish. Same goes for BF if he has been here for a number of years and has very little Spanish - what is his English like? It is unlikely to get TEFL work if your cannot spell.

This was an opportunity to display yourself on to a worldwide stage and you have to some extent been ripped apart. Take it as friendly, you are not meeting any of us oldies 1:1 for an interview - yet.

Presentation has to be perfect, the first stage - the CV has to be perfect and configured to the job description applied for, without any lies.
You wouldnt go to a job as a hotel receptionist in cut off jeans and boob tube, you would dress conservatively and appropriately.

hopefully friendly advice, made honestly and openly, you are the product now go out and sell it.

Beats me why you asked for our advice when Which is pretty much what I said in my first post. I shall take your advice and hope you can lose that chip from your shoulder.

.......... Yeah... I came on being friendly, but honestly you have all wound me up... All I wanted was a bit of adivce about where is the best place to live.. and all Ive had is aload of BS from most of you... I dont want you to offer me a job... or correct my spelling, I aint as dumb as you all think I am.. I do cheak every application I put out there for a job, I write my header letters and modify every application to sute... I dont lie.. I dont believe in it... and I have 4 standard CV's to fit English and Spanish, Malaga and Murcia...

So will you all so kindly stop moaning Geeeezzz!!!!
